  Hello, I wanted to bring a recent experience to your attention. I stopped by your establishment this week and had an interaction with an employee that was concerning. The employee was a heavy-set male in his early to mid-20s with brown hair. He did not greet me when I approached the counter, and after I ordered a simple $5 cappuccino , he directly asked me to leave a tip. When I chose not to, he responded with visible attitude and did not say “thank you” or offer any courtesy. When I asked for his name, he refused to provide it. I don’t mind tipping for good service, but being asked for a tip and then treated poorly for not leaving one is inappropriate. This seems to be an ongoing issue at this particular location, and I felt it was important to make management aware. Thank you for taking the time to review this concern. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience moving forward

  Use the drive through and they ask for a tip and not a single employee ever says thank you, simple manners. If they don’t care to have it then stop asking for the tip.

  Hello, I would like to report an incident that occurred today at the Kahwa location in Lakewood Ranch. I come to this location regularly and usually have a good experience. Today, I requested frothed milk with my espresso, something I’ve ordered before without any issue. The employee, who identified himself as Ash, told me that adding more milk would require charging for a latte. I was perfectly fine with that and agreed. However, instead of handling the situation professionally, he deliberately poured the frothed milk out into the sink in front of me and said, “That’s as far as I can go.” When I asked to speak with the owner about how this was handled, he told me, “No, I’m the shift leader”, and then proceeded to say, “I hope you find another coffee shop.” I want to be clear: This is not about the cost of milk or being charged for a latte. It is about the attitude, disrespect, and dismissive behavior shown to a loyal customer. Throwing the milk away in front of me and then suggesting I find another place to go is extremely unprofessional. I am taking this seriously and would like the owner to contact me directly regarding this matter. I have a recording of the conversation if needed. I hope this can be resolved promptly and respectfully, as this does not reflect the service I expect from Kahwa and certainly not from someone representing your brand as a shift leader. Thank you.

  I was in town for my best friend’s engagement and needed a place to work for the day since I couldn’t check into my hotel yet. I work remotely in finance, and this coffee shop was perfect for getting things done — great atmosphere, comfortable seating, and an overall welcoming vibe. My drink was excellent, the sandwich was delicious, and the young blonde girl who made my order and checked me out was as friendly as could be. I didn’t catch her name, but she definitely deserves a shoutout — she complimented my outfit, had such a positive energy, and greeted every customer with a big smile. I was there for several hours and felt comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend this spot!
