We visited Wailulu on our last night of the trip and it was a great way to end it. Service was great, everything up to Disney standards. Food was very good. We had the short ribs and the King fish. Creme Brule for dessert. Would love to return at some point.
Wailulu Bar & Grill at the Polynesian Resort is a true standout, offering a perfect blend of island hospitality and culinary excellence that makes every guest feel right at home. The staff's exceptionally friendly attitude sets a welcoming tone, but the real star is the food—specifically the **Wayfinder Burger**, which is an absolute must-order for its incredible flavor and quality. What truly sets this spot apart, however, is their proactive and seamless approach to dietary restrictions; the kitchen is more than willing to modify menu items, ensuring a safe and delicious experience without any compromise on taste. Whether you're a resort guest or just visiting, the combination of great vibes and an accommodating team makes this a premier dining destination in Orlando.

We had a great experience at Wailulu Grill! Maddie, our waitstaff, was incredibly bubbly, personable, and attentive throughout the entire meal—she really made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The food overall was delicious. The appetizer was excellent, and the main meals were truly wonderful. The kids’ meals, however, were a bit more on the mediocre side compared to the rest of the menu.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, especially the tile work on the floor—it really stands out. It did make me wonder how they keep it so clean with all that detail!
Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience, and we’d definitely come back.
Waited 1 hour and 50 minutes for a table after being told 45 min initially. Ok… still went in with an open mind. Drinks were ok, overall food was bad to average depending on the dish. The fries had clearly been sitting out for awhile. Service was fair. Overall experience 2/5. We def left feeling we did not get our money’s worth.

A Masterclass in Island-Inspired Excellence at Wailulu Bar and Grill
If you are looking for a culinary escape that actually delivers on the "magic," look no further than Wailulu Bar and Grill. From the first sip to the final bite, this wasn't just lunch—it was an absolute technical knockout of flavor and presentation.
The Atmosphere & Service
Located in the heart of Lake Buena Vista, the vibe here is elevated yet accessible. Our server, Nathan, was a consummate professional—prompt, attentive, and ensured every detail of our experience at Table 105 was seamless.
The Standout Dishes
• Shrimp Noodles ($26.00): This dish is a vibrant explosion of textures. The shrimp were colossal, perfectly seared, and nestled in a bed of savory, glazed noodles. The crowning achievement was the garnish: a delicate web of crispy rice noodles and fresh microgreens that added a sophisticated crunch and brightness to every forkful. It’s a rare feat to balance such deep, rich flavors with this level of aesthetic precision.
• Chicken Poke Bowl ($22.00): Calling this a "bowl" feels like an understatement; it’s a mosaic. The chicken was glazed to perfection with a rich, caramelized char. The supporting cast—creamy avocado dusted with furikake, vibrant edamame, crisp red cabbage, and pickled radish—created a symphony of freshness. Every ingredient felt hand-selected for quality, tied together by a spicy aioli that provided just the right amount of kick.
• Kona Coffee ($4.99): For the coffee purist, this is the gold standard. Bold, smooth, and served at the perfect temperature to cut through the richness of the meal. It’s the essential finishing touch for a high-tier dining experience.
The Bottom Line
With a subtotal of $52.99, the value-to-quality ratio here is staggering. In a world of generic "resort food," Wailulu Bar and Grill is a lighthouse of authenticity and culinary craftsmanship.
Total Score: 10/10. Do not skip the Shrimp Noodles—they are life-changing.
