I was not staying at the Polynesian (if only), so I crossed fingers and toes to pop over and add myself to the Grog Grotto waiting list. I checked out the resort to the extent I could and happily timed the Tiki Terrace right at opening. I was THRILLED to learn you can gain any of the tiki mugs on the terrace and pick up the mug once done. Wait staff was very helpful in educating me on this, as well as noting ability to slightly modify some of the drinks. I did ultimately get into the Grog Grotto, but if you don’t want to wait and hope to get in, the Tiki Terrace is a nice setting.
