T-REX Cafe is a prehistoric family adventure! This interactive attraction includes a full-service restaurant with life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and simulated meteor showers, as well as an impressive Octopus Bar, a dinosaur-themed retail store, and our interactive Paleo Zone.
Do you enjoy a good time and shockingly great food? Consider the T.Rex cafe for your next meal! The ambience was awesome with highly detailed displays and different areas that highlighted every aspect of prehistoric life. Gabriel took care of us at the bar and made excellent suggestions and gave great service. There was also a woman who was working behind the bar that took one of our souvenir glasses, washed it and gave it right back to us without us even noticing, super awesome service touch that really impressed us. The food was DELICIOUS too!! I have never once ordered meatloaf from a restaurant but I felt the particularly interested this time and was not disappointed. My friend got the salmon gnocchi that was also super flavorful and completely surprising to receive from a place that has a meteor shower every 20 minutes. I’m telling you, if you want a memorable meal skip the rainforest cafe and come here instead. We’ll be back!

Fun and lively environment. T-Rex animatronic was really cool to see in person, fish tanks were scattered around the place and they definitely added to the experience. The lighting and different themes in the sections were also very fun. I ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer and it was very hot and had great flavor. My entree was the Triassic Trio. The crab and shrimp gratin was something I had never had before and honestly didn't know what to expect from it. The shrimp and crab chunks were cooked very well and the consistency of the gratin was nice. The steak I had was a perfectly cooked medium rare that was tender and nicely seasoned. The shrimp had amazing flavor and was the best meat out of the 3. I think the vegetables lacked flavor and the rice wasn't that warm and didn't taste the greatest. The servers could have been more attentive. It was cool how you could put your name on a list with your phone number and walk around Disney Springs and wait to be messaged that you reservation is ready. Overall the experience is fun and the food is good.

This was one of the coolest and most interactive restaurants I’ve been to. If you’re going for the experience, this place absolutely delivers.
The whole restaurant is themed with life-sized dinosaurs and other creatures that actually move and make noise, and every 20 minutes there’s a “meteor shower” where the lights change, sounds kick in, and the whole place comes alive. It’s awesome. There are a few different sections inside, each with its own vibe, so it’s worth looking into ahead of time. We sat in the ice cave area and it was super cool, especially when the colors changed during the meteor showers.
That said, the atmosphere is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here. Service was friendly but very slow. It took about 30–40 minutes to get our food, and there wasn’t really any acknowledgment or effort to make up for the delay. The food itself was just okay. We tried the Mediterranean skewers and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t bad, but nothing really stood out.
One small but annoying thing: we mentioned it was my birthday, and they brought out a cupcake, which was nice… until we saw the $0.99 charge on the bill. Not a big deal, but it felt a little nickel-and-dime-y considering everything else.
Overall, the atmosphere more than makes up for the downsides. Definitely worth checking out at least once, especially if you’re going for the experience.

So the atmosphere is amazing. That absolutely gets five stars. But the food was probably some of the worst food I’ve ever had in my life. And it was so insanely overpriced for how terrible it was. I was so disappointed. I ordered the ribs, which looked amazing on the menu and it tasted like I was eating overcooked chewy rubber bands in bbq sauce. The fries were cold and tasteless. By far the worst ribs i’ve ever had in my life. And it’s one of their items that they seem to be known for. I mean, I wish I could give it zero stars. The food was that bad. My husband said his burger was mediocre at best. He had cold fries as well. And then the service was not very good at all. We sat there for over 15 minutes at our table until they finally brought a high chair over for us. (This was during lunch and we ate at around 2pm, so not high volume traffic time. It was pretty deserted) Almost no one spoke very good English, so we had no idea if they even understood our request for a high chair, when they first sat us, and after asking multiple other staff members. So the 15 minute wait was actually after we found someone who spoke English and understood that we actually needed a highchair. The food did come out pretty fast. But like I said, the food was horrible for how incredibly expensive it was. It’s not even a Disney restaurant and it was probably one of the most expensive meals we had on our trip. The dinosaurs were awesome though. But that’s about it. I absolutely do not recommend it and we will not ever go back. I expected much higher quality food and service for the price.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my son’s birthday with excitement, but the experience was extremely disappointing from the very beginning. Despite having a confirmed reservation, we were left waiting at the entrance for over an hour, standing with young children, with no consideration or clear explanation.
When we were finally seated, things only got worse. They placed us at separate tables, which makes no sense for a family celebration—especially a birthday, where the whole point is to share the moment together. We tried to ask for help to be seated properly, but no one was willing to assist us.
The staff responsible for seating us had a very poor attitude. They were rude, unhelpful, and clearly uninterested in making our experience better. At no point did they show any empathy or attempt to resolve the situation.
I do want to highlight that our server was the only positive part of the experience. He attended to us very well, was kind, and did his best despite the overall situation.
I would definitely not recommend this place for any special occasion. It was a very frustrating experience and far from what we expected on such an important day.
