We were really excited to dine at San Angel Inn during our family trip to Epcot, but unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had at Disney. From the beginning, the service was very poor. We waited about 20 minutes before our server even came to our table. When he finally did, his attitude made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As a party of eight—celebrating time together as a family—and with my dad spending a significant amount on this dinner, we expected a much higher level of service. The experience only went downhill from there. Our food came out cold and was honestly not good at all, which was surprising given Disney’s usual standards. We chose not to complain at the time, hoping things might improve, but our server never returned to check on us. We had planned to order additional drinks, but never even had the chance because we couldn’t find him. Eventually, we paid our check and left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Our family loves Disney and has been visiting every other year for several years, which made this experience even more upsetting. Unfortunately, based on this visit, we will not be returning to San Angel Inn.

The only good thing about this restaurant was the service. We had the shrimp and steak tacos, chips with queso and salsa, 2 drinks and a diet coke. Everything was bland and the drinks were watered down. For 18.50 a drink, they should be fresh and the correct pours done. The shrimp tacos were tiny and tasteless with tiny bite sized tortillas to go with them. Husband said the steak was under seasoned. Even the plantains that came with the tacos were under seasoned. The queso was tasteless as well. The salsa was ok. For 140 dollars, I expected better. The only saving grace was the wait time. There hardly was any and now we know why. Won't return.

Absolutely the worst disney dining experience of my life. Even the water tasted like it was from the ride itself. The margarita flight was barely drinkable. I have had a better steak for breakfast at a waffle house. Disney should close this place asap. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. $54 for a steak and enchiladas that were hard a a rock. DO BETTER DISNEY!

I’m rating the atmosphere one star because we were sat behind a huge cement wall that blocked all views of anything besides the bathroom. It’s the place they seat people who don’t have a reservation. (We waited 30 minutes on the waitlist) They told us that when I asked if I could move to one of the 20 open tables with a view of the cenote. I then asked if I could just move to the table next to ours (still in the no-reservation shame corner) and she said no because that was a table for six and there were only three of us. By the time we finished our horrible food (more on that below), all of the empty 20 tables with a view, plus the one next to ours, were still empty. As far as the food goes - just don’t. Ribeye tacos were served cold, in one solid lump of cold cheese, in a “skillet”. Husband got the fish tacos and immediately sent them back. Cold, overcooked fish sticks in a corn tortilla. Daughter got the chicken enchilada which came out hot and she said they were “fine”. Do not recommend at all.

I’ve lived in Orlando a very long time and have been to Epcot dozens of times. Yet I have never made a reservation for a restaurant. That was a mistake. San Angel Inn is peak Mexican cuisine. The service was second to none. We had the ribeye tacos and the slow roasted pork. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you are planning a visit to Epcot. Definitely make a reservation.
