Food was great and there is a large room with AC to eat in.

Delicious BBQ. I’m very picket with my bbq and this did not disappoint. We came for flower and garden and really wanted some protons to balance out all the sugar we were eating. The wait was not long and the food was hot and felt fresh. My wife does not normally like pulled pork but she was loving the tenderness of it. I got the bbq platter and it was a nice balance with about 4 ribs, pulled pork and sausage. She also loved the sausage and was surprised. Highly recommend and we will be back. It was convenient that it was kinda at the half way point around the world. Price was also good for the amount of food on the platter. Spent about $24 with a drink.

While I love that Disney has tried to utilize their Muppets IP, Regal Eagle Smokehouse at Epcot feels like a half-hearted effort. Located in the America pavilion of World Showcase, this mediocre barbecue restaurant at least has some pretty cool décor that's geared towards fans of the Muppets (and in particular, the overly patriotic Sam Eagle). Be sure to take time to look at all the stuff on the walls because the décor is far better than the food.
This is a quick service restaurant which means you order, pay, and then pick up your food when it's ready. Regal Eagle is part of the restaurants where you can place a mobile order through the Disney World app, so be sure to do that if you want to avoid waiting in line. I usually place my order when we hit Mexico and by the time I walk over to America, my food is ready! The seating isn't the best in the world, as it features uncomfortable wooden picnic tables both inside and outside. There is a great outdoor dining area and beer garden and if you snag a table early enough, you can get a decent view of any of the concerts going on in the adjacent arena.
I usually order a kid's meal here when I want a hearty snack. The macaroni and cheese is just okay, and the bbq chicken and meats will absolutely disappoint. But I really like the banana pudding for a sweet snack. It's overpriced (this is inside a Disney theme park after all), but at least it's different than the usual chicken tenders, fries, and cookies that dominate other menus for kids.
Regal Eagle is also one of the few locations in Epcot that still has self-serve fountain sodas, but the machines are always out of ice. It's a pain, especially on a hot Florida day, to have to go up to the counter and wait for them to fill your cup with ice. This may be to stop people from refilling drinks or bottles they didn't purchase in the park (PLEASE don't do that, it ruins it for the rest of us who are honest), but it's a real inconvenience for actual customers.

This is our go to place in EPCOT for BBQ, especially in the summer. The AC is strong here and the seating options are plenty.
Lately, there have been some changes. Our favorite BBQ chicken is not good as before, the cheese toast is no longer part of the entree.
But that’s ok, the pulled pork is still good, and the cast members are still friendly until today.
I placed a mobile order today and was excited that my order was ready so quickly.
However, there was no one at the mobile pick up window. Well, there was a cast member stationed at window 4 (the one next to the mobile puck up window).
He was chatting with a customer, so I patiently waited and tried to get his attention. To my surprise, he turned away from my direction as if trying to “make sure” he wouldn’t see me, and continued his conversation.
Watching my order getting cold right behind him, I went to another window to ask for help.
Disney hospitality always surprised us pleasantly. Today’s experience was definitely far below the standard we are used to.
