Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie is easily one of the best quick stops if you are craving something sweet and fresh. The place has that classic French bakery feel, and the display of pastries alone makes it hard to choose just one.
I tried the strawberry shortcake and the napoleon pastry, and both were really good in their own way. The strawberry shortcake was light, fresh, and not overly sweet, which made it very easy to finish without feeling heavy. The napoleon pastry had nice flaky layers with a rich creamy filling, and it felt more indulgent compared to the shortcake.
The line can look long, but it usually moves pretty quickly. There is a decent amount of seating nearby, but it can get crowded during peak hours, so finding a spot might take a few minutes.
Parking is through the main park parking, so nothing separate here.
Reservations are not needed since it is a quick service spot.
One tip is to visit either earlier in the day or later in the evening to avoid the rush. Also, take a moment to look at everything before ordering because there are so many good options and it is easy to miss something you might like more.
Overall, this is a must visit if you enjoy pastries. Great quality, good portions, and a perfect place to take a sweet break.
