The Japan Pavilion is always my favorite to visit! Not only do I think it’s decorated the best out all the other countries, the shopping, food, and service is top-tier! The sushi is always made fresh and the RICE is among best rice I’ve ever had. It was not mushy or undercooked. Every rice grain was perfectly cooked and sticky but in a good way. I personally thought they gave generous portion size! I think a lot of the other reviews people forget that at Epcot, you’re supposed to “eat around the world” and eat a lot of small plates. If you desire a larger portion, try any sit-down restaurant in any country pavilion. I love Katsura Grill and love the little pathway up on the hill. Highly recommend!!

Food was pretty bland for Disney food and the service wasn't very good. When I went in I there were two girls who were just talking, they continued talking for another 7ish minutes until they decided to take my order. There wasn't even other people in front of us.

This was the worst meal we had at Disney—the food wasn’t even as good as restaurants outside the park. What stood out most was the behavior of the Japanese staff here, which felt discriminatory toward Asian guests. They were all smiles when serving white customers, but their attitude completely changed with Asian visitors—cold expressions, no basic courtesy. They also seemed to deliberately delay serving Asian guests. Even when the dishes were the same, they would intentionally serve non-Asian customers who arrived later first, making Asian guests wait longer. Disney is supposed to be a place that celebrates diversity and inclusion. We found all the other parks to be friendly—except for the Japan pavilion, which felt unwelcoming and discriminatory. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant. I dined here around 6:00 PM on April 3, 2026.

Ramen, udon, curry! The only semi authentic stuff on the menu and I was pleasantly surprised. No one eats the teriyaki trash in Japan… that’s for the Americanized pallet and from the lower reviews, is what most of y’all ordered.
