- MZMatt ZmakJan 14, 20264.0A sweet treat for any Animal Kingdom day! Came here to try the Pineapple Upside-Down Sundae. Aside from the traditional Dole Whip that you can find here, this dessert looked and sounded different so I had to try it! The cast member service was great as always. Fun and pleasant to interact with. The sundae itself was really good! The sweetness of the vanilla ice cream paired very well with the soft crumb of the cake. The cake itself wasn't warm - it was more room temperature. So, if you are looking for that 'cold and hot' sensation, you won't find that here. But dont get me wrong, the cake was still fresh. The caramel topping with the strusel added another layer of flavour and texture that really rounded this treat out. If you are in Animal Kingdom and looking for a solid, go-to treat, this is the one I would recommend. I know I will probably get it again on my next Disney trip.
