Stayed at the Riviera for the first time this trip, and Primo Piatto was a real highlight. Not only were the entrees delicious, the desserts were absolutely incredible, and the staff was lovely, as well. Multiple CMs were roaming the dining room offering Disney trivia questions to families, and it made for an excellent experience. 10/10!

Staff and atmosphere are always great. Ordered the Margherita pizza. Toppings were tasty but the bread not done to my preference, but was cooked all the way thru. They used to have a polenta dish which was amazing--don't know when they removed from the menu. Ordered the holiday ginger and chocolate cookie. It was chewy and tasty with a light ginger flavor (I prefer stronger ginger cookies). Would recommend both.

In all honesty, Primo Piatto at Riviera feels less like a culinary experience and more like someone microwaved yesterday’s leftovers and called it “resort dining.” The salads come off as stale, almost frozen in texture—as if they were prepped days ahead and forgotten in the back of a fridge. The flavors are virtually nonexistent, each bite a reminder that quick service doesn't have to be great here because apparently, location is supposed to make up for everything.
For a resort that sells itself as refined, stylish, and elevated, the food here is shockingly bland and uninspired. It’s the kind of meal you take two bites of and immediately wonder if gas station snacks would’ve been more satisfying. In short—tasteless, disappointing, and absolutely not worth the price or hype. This is one place you skip unless you enjoy paying top dollar for cafeteria-grade dining masked in faux European flair.
Encourage folks to grab food elsewhere—you deserve better on vacation.
Primo Piatto serves sandwiches, salads, beer, wine, and more for quick snacks or casual meals.
