  As a longstanding staple at Epcot this restaurant has very good food and excellent service. Sitting near the large glass windows of the reef is a bonus. We had the surf and turf and pricing aligned with other restaurants that are not in at a theme park.

  The next night we were able to experience the aquarium from another angle at the Coral Reef Restaurant. After a long wait because our entire party wasn’t there at the designated reservation time we were ready to be seated but one of us was in the bathroom, so we couldn’t be seated until she got out. The policy is that a party can’t be seated until the entire party is present, but our party was there, just in the bathroom after the long wait. The policy is understandable since some people say someone is “in the bathroom” but it turns out he’s “in the bathroom on the other side of the park” but they held the table for us so it didn’t really free up any space to wait in the entryway until everyone was out of the bathroom. It was annoying, but they made up for all that by putting us in the best seats in the house: a huge double table down in the front with giant windows to the aquarium stretching for 150 degrees. It was possibly the best ambiance you could ask for at a restaurant. Then, they brought out this amazing coconut-pineapple bread after we ordered and everyone gobbled it up. I ordered the reasonably priced Grilled Snapper with Coconut-Lime Rice, Mango Salsa, Avocado, Toasted Coconut, Chili-Lime Seasoning. It was delicious though I did have to add some salt to maximize the flavor (I’m addicted). One of my kids had to order an adult meal in the dining plan (because he was 10 years old or over) so he got the ambitious Surf and Terf meal with a phenomenal filet mignon and shrimp (they kind of cheated on the “surf” part but it was still good). The peppers that came with that dish were very tasty and the Key Lime Chimichurri was amazing. After all that deliciousness, they came with the deserts: Pineapple-Coconut Bread Pudding, which might have been the most delectable flavor I’ve ever experienced, and the Key Lime Tart, Chantilly, Raspberries. The kids’ desert was phenomenal too with a chocolate-covered coconut ice cream. It was the best meal of the trip and one of the top 30 meals of my life—an extraordinary experience.

  We really enjoyed this restaurant. I wish I could remember our waiter’s name because he was amazing! My three kids enjoyed this meal a lot. The steak was delicious. If you’re a parent thinking about it, do it! It’s a cool Disney sit down. The views were pretty good. We didn’t get right by the glass, but the restaurant is organized in a way where everyone is getting a good view. I wasn’t a huge fan of the specialty drinks (too heavy on the coconut), but overall, good food and experience.

  As a seafood based restaurant only having one fish option was odd to me. This was followed up by our server getting my wife’s dish wrong. When trying to correct the issue it took three different people to ask how she wanted the surf and turf cooked for it to come out 20min after my sons and my food. Aside from a few “sorry” claims tossed our way nothing else was offered to us. Sad day for Disney that the magic just isn’t there anymore. Constant money grab from the parks everywhere you turn with declining conditions and service. I can imagine there will be no response to this review cause clearly Disney doesn’t need to care. Always another customer and more money around the corner.

  This restaurant was an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully set. They was sweet with the kids. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was perfect. They well accommodated us. The food was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared — every dish was a standout. Presentation was impressive, and you could truly taste the quality in every bite. For a Disney restaurant this place delivers an exceptional experience. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!
