  My FL born daughter feel in love with Portillo's years ago. 😍 She adores the ambiance and nostalgia!! Even if she eats the crispy chicken 🐔 sandwich and the smiles are worth it. I look forward to taking her to Chicago one day!! Until then, this will do!!

  Starvation is a better option than eating at this place. Not completely sure what kind of information my sandwich was withholding to get waterboarded to this degree. If one is able to withstand the soaking wet bread, then they are still left to deal with the flavorless meat. I would not recommend the Italian beef sandwich to anyone, not even my enemy as the sandwich itself could be considered a war crime.

  Extremely disappointed with the service here. I was denied a soda refill by Christina while I was still eating because she claimed the machines were "closed." After a back-and-forth, she finally gave me one but was incredibly rude and dismissive, stating that her "firm" company policy was more important than guest satisfaction. I felt unwelcome and disrespected. I won’t be returning if this is how they treat customers who are simply trying to finish their dinner.

  I had a great experience at Portillo’s and just had to share! The cheeseburgers here are seriously so good! Packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. You can tell they really put effort into the quality of their food. The fries were also delicious, crispy and fresh, and paired perfectly with the burger. On top of that, I really loved the atmosphere. It’s a fun, welcoming place that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. I’m really glad I decided to stop by, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again soon!

  Man, Portillos why did you do this too me? Big Portillos Fan, but i had the worst experience ever at the Restaurant. March 19, 2026 around 3pm. The food just wasn't good at all. The hotdogs were so stiff, didnt seem fresh, the fries were room temp at best, wasn't the usually warmth. Then, the Cake, WOW. Cake actually had hard pieces in the frosting, which wasn't a pleasant surprise. Maybe it was just a bad day, I dont know but I know it was a $47 day for me and everything is super expensive around the country, we cant afford many of those type days. I am still a fan but dont want to risk another 50 bucks, so gonna talk a break. Hopefully when we return, you guys are back on track.
