Coming from central ny. To come to an establishment like Nipa was a very awesome experienc. Brought my whole family. We enjoyed hot fresh food from the pork skewers, lumpia, chicken/pork adobo, dinuguan and embutido. Everything is masarap. Salamat po. Mabuhay.

We’re used to eating Asian food with lots of spices, so we had almost forgotten there’s another palate with more subtle flavors. This restaurant is all about that. It was our first time here, and we were truly amazed experiencing this “lost palate.” They use coconut cream to bring out the flavors in many of their dishes, and it works beautifully. Both the jackfruit and pork curry were incredibly flavorful. We’re planning to go back again to try more.

I and the extended family will not be returning. Considering the poor quality of the food, it was very overpriced. THE RICE IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE ENTREE. Multiple items on the menu were unavailable to order, and what we were able to order was a disappointment. The worst of what we ordered were the nilaga and dinuguan. The nilaga lacked in flavor, which we remedied with more fish sauce. Somehow someway the dinuguan tasted absolutely stale. I am not even sure how that would be possible to accomplish. To give you an idea of how bad the food is... We did not even finish the lumpia. If you know lumpia, you know that at parties we Filipinos crush it and it's gone with a quickness. No one even fought over the leftovers of food to bring home since nobody wanted it. The only explanation we can come up with for why this restaurant is still in business is the lack of competition from good quality Filipino restaurants as well as most Americans not knowing what Filipino food is supposed to taste like. The place is rundown and the food is worse than mediocre. We went on a rainy day with the whole family, and the ceiling was leaking in the dining area near the kitchen entrance as well as in the women's restroom. Two of the stalls in the bathroom were flooded with water dripping down into them. There are some good things to note. The service was good and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
