I came to Florida for vacation from New Jersey and when I came to Orlando, I wanted to try the Lazy Dog restaurant and let me tell you something. I had an amazing experience at the Lazy Dog restaurant and I have so many things to tell you about this amazing restaurant. For drinks we got 2 tropical sparkling refreshers and one pink lemonade and the drinks very so sweet and delicious and very refreshing. For appetizers, we had truffle fries and cheese + garlic house bread and they were so delicious that we couldn't stop eating them and we felt like we could have 20 more dishes of the appetizers. For our main, we had a Grilled 5 cheese sandwich, tomato soup, Apple Cider coleslaw, hot honey feta dip, and spicy chilli thai noodles. They tasted extremely delicious which really made us want to come back. This was a really great experience at the Lazy Dog restaurant and we will definitely be coming back the next time I come back to Orlando.
The absolute worst experience. I have had the pleasure of dining all over the world. This establishment was, by far, my worst experience. We arrived at 6:00p.m. as walk-ins on a Tuesday night. We did not get seated until 8:00p.m. Several other walk-ins came after us, yet we (the only black family -not mixed) were utterly ignored. Their excuse was that every other family had “reservations.” Once we were actually seated, our food arrived an hour later. My three children were exhausted and miserable by the time they actually received their food. To top it off, the food was dry and bland. If you are a black family, avoid at all costs. You will not be service with civility and respect. For those that question my review, you know it’s bad when two separate WHITE families apologized on the restaurant’s behalf! Zero stars!

Basically, it is a very nice place.
We were four people, ordered 2x burgers, 1x meatloaf and 1x Shrimp Alfredo. We waited more than one hour before the first two dishes arrived. A manager however regretted the waiting time shortly before they arrived.
The Shrimp Alfredo was cold, so were the fries for the first burger. Then 10 minutes later the meatloaf arrived, where the mashed potatoes were cold! Finally, after another 5-10 minutes the last burger arrived (surprisingly hot).
We complained along the way about the cold food, and they replaced the dishes one-by-one. So, no one got to dine together …
For once in the US, we considered not tipping at all, but the waiter was the ONLY highlight of the evening, and the restaurant deducted a small amount from our bill.
Of course, this was our first and last visit there. Sadly though, because at least the meatloaf was very delicious. But the second version of the Shrimp Alfredo was bland and unseasoned, clearly different made from the first time.

The food is great, but the service is the worst. The check in process was a mess. No leadership, they were avoiding to deal with the long line and the employees at the check in did not even care about nothing. Ten to 15 minutes, just to check in for reservations. At the moment at check in the lady has the audacity to tell me I was late for my reservation. The same employee took us the the worst table posible, a table at the sun and wobbling. We asked her for a different table she said that wasn't possible. We just changed to another another table. Our server never got our water until the end, he never picked up any plates and he saw our plate were empty. We want to visit again, since the food was good, but with different employees and a different leadership. We saw two families walking out of the restaurant. Like a leader if you see a problem, you own it. You fix it, you make a call, make a decision.

This was our third visit to Lazy Dog Restaurant, and unfortunately, it will be our last. I made a reservation for 3:00 PM just in case it was crowded, and we were seated right away with no issues. The host was kind enough to make sure our table was out of the sun, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, that’s where things started to go downhill.
It took over 10 minutes before anyone came by to take our drink order. Once our drinks arrived, we placed our food order immediately since we already knew what we wanted. However, it took 47 minutes for our food to arrive. During that entire time, our server never checked in with us or offered drink refills. When he finally brought our meals, he apologized and blamed delays in the kitchen, but the lack of attention during our wait also added to the frustration.
The food itself was good, but my husband’s drink was never refilled. The server brought over the manager to address the long wait, but the manager only offered an apology, explaining that there had been a “regime change,” whatever that meant, and provided no compensation. Even a simple offer of complimentary soft drinks would have gone a long way. While waiting, I couldn’t help but notice that the dining room floor was dirty and littered with trash—something I likely wouldn’t have seen if the wait hadn’t been so long.
I ordered the $15 special, which included dessert, and after finishing it, we again had to wait an extended time for our check. By that point, we had run out of patience and went to the hostess stand to express our dissatisfaction. The manager eventually offered 50% off our bill, which we appreciated, but the experience had already been disappointing.
What was meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable meal turned into a frustrating visit. While I’ve enjoyed Lazy Dog in the past, this experience has convinced us not to return.
