Juan Valdez® is the only internationally recognized coffee brand owned by coffee producers. In 2002, the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, a non-profit organization that represents over 548,000 coffee-growing families, created the Juan Valdez® project for coffee shops and value-added businesses, named after the iconic character who has represented Colombian coffee worldwide for over 50 years. Juan Valdez® coffees are synonymous with high quality, providing coffee growers with greater value for the quality of their coffee, as well as important royalty resources from the sale of every cup or product bearing its brand worldwide. In 2021, it was certified as a B Corporation.
