I don’t even know where to begin with how unbelievably bad this experience was. This was, without exaggeration, the most disorganized, unprofessional fast food experience I’ve ever had.
We walked inside expecting to place a simple order, and instead stood at the front counter for a full ten minutes completely ignored. Not “busy but we’ll be right with you” ignored. I mean multiple employees made direct eye contact with us and chose to continue doing other things like we were invisible. No acknowledgment, no “we’ll be with you shortly,” nothing. That alone is unacceptable.
Eventually, one employee finally says they’ll be right with us. Great, right? Wrong. They never came back. Instead, a few minutes later, that same employee casually announces they’re clocking out and leaving… while we are still standing there waiting. That tells you everything you need to know about the level of care and accountability at this location.
Then, after wasting even more of our time, another employee comes up and says they’re “understaffed” and only serving drive-thru. If that’s the case, why is the lobby open? Why are there no signs on the door? Why wasn’t that communicated immediately when we walked in instead of letting us stand there for 10–15 minutes like idiots?
And let’s talk about the “slammed” excuse. There was ONE order on the screen. One. If that qualifies as overwhelmed, then there are some serious operational issues going on.
To make things worse, we had no choice but to go back outside and get in the drive-thru line, where of course multiple cars pulled in ahead of us. On top of that the drive through took ages, because they were taking one order at a time! So not only was our time wasted inside, but we were effectively punished for trying to follow the normal ordering process. I will say, the one employee at the drive-thru window was doing an excellent job. The manager, the one who told us inside dining wasn't available, was doing apparently absolutely nothing.
If you’re understaffed, fine, that happens. But you don’t leave your doors open, ignore customers, give false assurances, and then send them away after they’ve already waited.
Absolutely unacceptable. Do better.
