  My wife and I are visiting our daughter in Jacksonville. We went on down to the Riverwalk to check it out. Fortunately we didn't find a place for lunch. On the way back to our camper we found Butt Hutt Smokehouse. The food was amazing. The smoke ring in the pulled pork was perfect and the seasoning was spot on. I had smoked hot sausage and that was good as well. I will have to try the brisket on our next trip.

  The food is amazing. The brisket is just amazing. No waiters getting your order but they serve the food on your table. I got a platter with brisket that came with French fries and Mac and cheese, delicious. If you are not a big fan of the Mac and cheese: you must to give this one a try. One platter is enough for one adult, and if you have kids, you can get a platter and split it for 2 kids, in the event your kids are bored of a cheese burger. Their options for kids are really good as well.

  Honestly, the Ribs were VERY bland. The wall said “Florida Style” Ribs and but that was NOT what I tasted. The Florida Ribs I’ve tasted don’t need sauce and have some type of flavor or taste that’s worth it. The Ribs were actually fresh from the smoker too and although it LOOKED good, the taste wasn’t there. I didn’t taste any of the ingredients listed on the wall I saw in the establishment that said “Florida Ribs”. Not sure if the prep wasn’t good or the recipe was off, but the ribs had NO TASTE. Florida Ribs don’t taste like that….. The bacon was fire. I’d recommend that. And the greens were good.

  Someone I knew raved about this place so I thought I would try it out. I asked for fatty brisket on my fries and it was not fatty. At all. Thought I’d order fatty brisket a la carte and again not fatty. Personally thought the brisket was really dry. Sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Cute place though. Might go back and try something else.
