I don't really have the words to describe the way my cheese enchiladas tasted. If it wasn't for the guacamole, rice and beans, and cheese dip (kinda) saving my plate, I would've thrown them out. If 3 enchiladas, some of them were hot and some weren't - one even had cold shredded cheese on one end and melted cheese on the other end, as if it were just put in the microwave. I literally went for the cheese enchiladas, and I'm trying to be nice, but I really hate wasting my money. I spent $20 on enchiladas that tasted like dog food smells. I've been so busy all day and had to come to this side of town, and I'm so disappointed I went there. I'm sure there are other dishes that are tasty, but what I had was a huge disappointment.

I’ve been here twice now and each time was successful, fun atmosphere and good food. Except don’t go when you have a large party because some of your food may be a little burnt (I had the fajitas )because mine was when I went on Saturday it was sitting too long and had to wait for everybody else’s food to be brought out. The small group the teaser the food is. but all in all still a great spot.

This place was amazing, they had many types of drinks and options on their menu, when we got our food my whole family was amazed by how good it was. I got the birria quesadilla and they gave me a variety of sauces and it was probably one of the best foods I've ever had. Amazing place.
We ordered 5 tacos to split and try for the first time and wow. All delicious, loaded and nicely sized. Definitely one of my new favorite spots!
This review is based on my most recent visit which was Saturday, 2/28.
We went last night and had the worst experience at La Costa we've ever had. We came in around 7 and got seated immediately. It was packed as people were there before going to Kickers. Granted, I have never seen it that busy.
We ordered drinks and queso and this is where things went downhill. Our server ended up being the bartender. I had to get up to find her 3 times to ask for another drink, ask to order food, and ask for the bill. We were seemingly forgotten at the table. I also had to get up to ask for silverware after an hour.
When we got our food (quesadilla, Chile Colorado, and shrimp diablo), the latter dishes were cold. We had to send both back, one clearly had just been microwaved. The sauce, which is normally great, seemed smoky and thick. It was barely edible. When we told the waitress, she apologized that we didn't like it and she said "just don't tip me."
She seemed like every request was a task. While the service isn't normally good, this was much worse than normal. The meal also took over 2 hours, and we were ready to order almost immediately.
We have been to La Costa 10+ times and always enjoyed our meal. I'm hoping that this was a one off, but I'm reluctant to go back, especially Thursday - Saturday when Kickers is open.
