The food is amazing here!!! We had the pleasure of going twice. I had the ribs, brisket and those mighty burnt ends. Also, another hit is the collard greens, I mean absolutely delicious! The Florida Fries with FRESH BACON!!! Ohhh the BACON!!!! Their sauces are top notch too. I had burnt ends on each visit and they did not miss. Beautiful bark and super tender. We even brought some back for the family. We will definitely go back when visiting Jacksonville. P.S. Try the Smoked French Toast with a scoop of ice cream. Thank me later.

This restaurant is a rip off. It's no way in the world a two meet combo with two sides and small drink should come to $31. Even though the manager or owner says they are not out to get anyone. At the end of the day it's the perception of the customer. I went right around the corner to Mojo's a barbecue chain with higher end food and got a two meet combo with drink and two sides $23. Dude I don't know how you going to stay in business with prices like that in this economy even if it's in the fine print. I can see about $21 for your restaurant this is not even chain. In addition the owner has an extremely nasty foul, abrasive attitude. He also degrades his customers and accuses them of being being illiterate. People have the right to ask the question about the prices. He became very defensive and stated nobody was trying to get over me. I was never nasty or rude just ask about prices and didn't see the fine print of the upcharge. This young man appears to be part of the millennial generation where they are very nasty, have no tact, weren't properly raised by there parents, no ethics, lack of respect, think everything is funny. But one thing is for sure with people in his generation with these nasty demeanors and lack of ethics how you treat and talk to people and customers you wont be in business very long or employed anywhere without a change in your nasty demeanor. You were to comfortable going off on me and it shows you've done this before and will continue because you get away with it until it cost you your business. I wish you the best young man.

I had the melt with pork and some of the best beans that I’ve ever had. I will definitely be returning and I would recommend this to anyone that loves barbecue.

I really know BBQ, it runs in my family...usually I do my own, but I was downtown on a Saturday and just felt the hankering for some brisket for lunch/football time. Quick google search and lookover reviews and I was placing an order for a pound of brisket and a slab of ribs. Its was ready to go when I got there and smelled great, on the way home I could barely resist starting early. It was great! Flavor profiles were well layered, tender to perfection...even the sauces were uniquely crafted. It

🔥 Hidden BBQ Gem in Jacksonville – Authentic Smoke, Huge Portions, and the Best Collards You’ll Ever Have ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – First Visit to The Butt Hutt Smokehouse (Jacksonville, FL) Stopped in tonight while passing through Jacksonville on my way to Tampa for work — and I’m really glad I did. We got there around 6:40 on a Sunday evening. The place was busy but we still found parking and plenty of outside tables, and we ended up at the bar. Service started strong — our bartender Jacob was friendly, helpful, and quick to make recommendations. Later in the meal, we found out he’s also the owner and pitmaster, which honestly explains a lot about the pride and attention to detail that came through in everything. I ordered the 3 Meat Platter ($18) with Sliced Brisket, Smoked Turkey, and Pork Ribs, plus sides of Baked Beans with Sausage and Collard Greens, served with Garlic Texas Toast (not pictured). My coworker ordered the Burnt Ends Platter with Fried Okra and another helping of beans, and we also tried the Homemade Bacon — as to be expected here, it’s from the butt and not the belly. Thick little piggy nuggets of yummy. Everything was served classic-style on butcher paper over a metal tray. Portions were bigger than expected for the menu price points, and the food came out quick but not too quick. All the meats are smoked over pecan wood, giving a smooth, balanced flavor. • Brisket: 9/10 — tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced without being over-smoked. • Turkey: great flavor and really showcased the homemade sauces. • Ribs: my favorite — great smoke and cooked-on sauce. • Bacon: thick, savory, and pure indulgence. • Collard Greens: 11/10 — best I have ever had. Flavor, tenderness, and added-in meat. Wow. • Toast: simple but super flavorful. Crisp. The vibe was authentic, chill, and laid back — the perfect kind of find that feels unassuming on first pull up, but then it just envelopes you into a transformative, legit meat experience. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, The Butt Hutt hits all the marks of a great local BBQ spot. First timer. Will be a second timer. Must-try: Collard Greens & Ribs. Next trip: Jerk Chicken and Wings (and of course, will double up on the side of collards).
