  I’ve been coming here since I first moved to Jacksonville over a decade ago, and somehow I’m only just now getting around to leaving a review, which honestly says more about consistency than anything else. Everything here is flavorful and delicious. The spices are spot on, the food tastes fresh, and it’s the kind of place you remember years later and hope hasn’t changed, and it hasn’t. We ordered the Hovan roll (wrap), and while it did get a bit soggy due to the wait time getting it home, the flavor was absolutely there. Even not at its peak texture, it was still really good. (Jessica wanted to make sure that part was noted.) If you’re eating it fresh, I can only imagine it’s even better. Solid, reliable Mediterranean food that holds up over time. Definitely recommend.

  Just went here on a whim tonight as we are not from.here and a gyro sounded really good. We both got lamb gyros which were just ok. Too much lettuce and not enough sauce. My side was the salad and it was old lettuce and the dressing was terrible. My husband's side was taboulii and it was mediocre and no pitas given on the side. The worst thing was the stuffed grape leaves. When you picked them up, they fell apart. They were like mush! So gross. We tried one and threw the rest away. Will not go back and do n ot recommend. Gross!

  We used Hovan catering at our wedding this month and it was incredible!! Before wedding day we went into the restaurant and they let us try all the things. They were so accommodating and made sure we were all take care of for the catering order. The food was a huge hit and everyone said they loved it. Their chicken salad and chocolate pistachio baklava left everyone very happy and wanting more!! No dish went uneaten. I would recommend Hovan to anyone needing catering or just a good place to eat :)

  Loved this Mediterranean experience. The food was served with many options and large portions at a very reasonable price - delicious!!! The servers were helpful and friendly. I loved that they played Greek music to match the food and decor. Will definitely return to this gem.

  Casual atmosphere with great food! All the items were well done and very tasty. You have to go through a buffet like line placing your order as you go so not a date type place, but really good food at good prices. Great lunch spot to sit outside and enjoy 5 .Points
