When it comes to Jacksonville’s waterfront restaurants, it doesn't get much better than Chart House seafood restaurant. Situated right on Southbank and featuring a unique architectural style, Chart House Jacksonville overlooks the city's gorgeous downtown riverfront and is one of the most interesting buildings in the city. Designed by famous architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg and inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, our restaurant was even voted as one of the top 100 buildings in the state of Florida.
From our prime waterfront location, diners can spot dolphins swimming out front daily and catch the best views in town of all the boat parades and fireworks displays throughout the year. The St. John's River is the perfect backdrop for a romantic evening or stylish happy hour, all while sampling some of the most creative Prime Rib, steak and seafood Jacksonville has to offer.
We went this past Easter with our grandson. There were three of us. The service was extremely slow with very few people sitting at tables. We were there right at dinner time six so you would’ve expected it to be really busy for a slow as the service was our food was mediocre very disappointed in the temperature of the vegetables and the prime rib. We have been going to the chart house for many years, but it decided that this would not be in the future.

My fiance and I went last night for my birthday. Reservation was at 630 but we got sat early even though it was busy. The cocktails were excellent, the food was good. The best part was the service. Taylor was our server and she did an amazing job. She made sure we were taken care of the whole time....great service!

As much as I want to gatekeep this amazing restaurant, I promised I would post my 10/10 experience. The lobster bisque, the shrimp Ceasar salad in the parmesian bowl, the Australian lobster tails, the expresso Martini souffle and the creme brulee..all delectable!!! Special thanks to our server Carol and J.D. To top it off, the magnificent view was breath-taking. Thanks for a wonderful time J.D.

The dining experience at this restaurant was exceptional, with flavorful dishes and a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced the meal. Each bite was well-prepared and satisfying, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients. The restaurant strikes a balance between cozy and lively, creating an environment that is both comfortable and energetic—perfect for enjoying a relaxed yet engaging meal. One interesting note was the caviar being served with a silver spoon. Traditionally, metal utensils can alter the flavor of caviar, but in this instance, it did not detract from the overall quality of the dish. The combination of expertly crafted food, thoughtfully designed ambiance, and attentive service made the experience highly enjoyable. Overall, this location is ideal for anyone seeking a memorable meal in a relaxed yet vibrant setting, with dishes that consistently impress and a dining environment that encourages enjoyment from start to finish.
