We really wanted to enjoy a beach view for lunch. That was the best part of the experience. The restaurant is beautiful and the beach view from the patio is wonderful.
The food was mediocre. Gumbo tasted like a can of Chunky soup. I found a single small piece of seafood and two slivers of sausage - they’ve clearly never had gumbo. But the canned tasted/ everyone tried and agreed.
The salad came out hot and wilted. We sent it back because - yuck. The server apologized and said the kitchen put it too close to the heat lights. It came out after we already had our mains and wasn’t eaten.
They were not overrun, but half full and not super busy yet the kitchen didn’t send things out in any order and we had to ask for the gumbo many times.
Everything is super deep fried and not flavorful. Hush puppies were sour, nobody could eat them. The shrimp and crab roll was decent, but everyone else left a good amount of food on their plates.

My server was great. No issue restaurant great no issue BUTT…. The food it’s looks good but not up to par. The chicken was cooked good NO flavor, for it to be a fried piece of chicken it was bland. The mash potatoes came out twice like warm/chilled with no flavor. The corn very fresh but NO flavor. Maybe too much paprika but no savory seafood or ole bay flavor very bland . My chowder was very flour …like…. texture… ish… e..and again cold the poor waitress had to hit it up in the microwave. Apparently it’s a known issue. The sweet tea was okay but not brewed fresh I’d give that a 2…… cool to try but I wouldn’t recommend .. parking is good. Location good staff very friendly the food is killing the joint. Just go to red lobster

We went to Bubba Gump for the first time on a Friday evening. A table outside wasn’t immediately available but very pleasant hostess directed us to the bar while we waited. The bartenders were awesome! The Jenny’s Lemonade was fantastic. The hostess went out of her way to get us a seat outside with a fantastic view of the beach. Calvin was our server and he was the best!! He was super attentive and so friendly!! He definitely cares about his customers. The food was outstanding! Got the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer, super tasty! Lt. Dans drunken shrimp and grits was amazing!! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely go back. Would love to see Calvin again!!

We had a reservation for my girlfriend birthday at 5:30. We arrived 10 minutes early but was still seated promptly by the host. We waited 20 minutes for our server to come and take our drink order ( 1 watermelon blended margarita and a bottle of coors light) the server came back 15 minutes later with a watermelon marg over ice and said it couldn’t be blended per the menu. She also said they didn’t have coors light so I requested a corona with lime. 10 minutes later she brought a Heineken with a lime and said “here is your corona with lime” I sent it back and 10 minutes later was brought a corona with no lime. When I asked for a lime I waited 30 minutes for a lime and when it finally came I already fished my beer. I order another one and over 15 minutes and the server asking twice if I gotten my beer ( a quick look at the table she could have gotten her answer without saying a word) the food was mediocre at best. Also I guess it is the restaurant custom to ask trivia question bout the movie however when the server asked if we’d wanted to play trivia we asked if we could wait untill after we finished our food, she proceeded to ask trivia questions anyway. I will say when we brought everything up to the manager she was very apologetic given this was my girlfriend’s birthday dinner. She comped half our bill $119 to $58. I did not leave a tip, I have worked in the service industry my entire life there is no excuse for this in my opinion.

Our experience was less than enjoyable. We had a reservation, but had to wait in a line to check in and a little longer for a table. There were so many people packed inside that it was extremely loud and warm/stuffy as well. We waited a very long time for our food, but did get a drink and played trivia. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. When our food finally arrived, my steak was overcooked, stuffed shrimp was soggy and my broccoli was hard and basically raw. I asked for no mashed potatoes and accepted an upcharge for a salad instead.. but got mashed potatoes anyway and my salad never came. My teenage son was not impressed with the chicken Caesar salad because he said it tasted odd. My daughter ordered the crab boil, which was knocked to the ground by a passing waiter that hit our server's tray. It was an accident, but the replacement took so long to come that everyone else was already done eating. When it did finally come, the potatoes were raw and the seafood was cold. We let our waitress know and asked to just have it taken off, as well as the salad I never received, because we'd been there for almost 2hrs and didn't want to wait any longer. Our sons left ahead of us and just walked back to the hotel. The waitress and manager were very nice and apologetic, with him noting that they've only been open 2wks. We were very understanding and polite about the situation, even though we were really frustrated. I guess what bothered me the most is that, when our bill came, we were charged for both of the crab boils my daughter couldn't eat (maybe as a inventory requirement for the restaurant) and the charges discounted as a kitchen error, I was still charged for the salad I didn't get, and nothing else was comped. I'd assume they'd at least take off our appetizer for the inconvenience. Anyway, we paid the $176 bill, plus a $25 tip. Then we left and went to another restaurant to get our daughter some food. Given our experience, we surely won't be going back.
