I really like this new Panera drive-thru and have had some great visits. However, I’ve stopped by twice in the past two weeks around the same time, and both visits were disappointing. I always order ahead and only pull into the drive-thru once I’m notified that my order is ready. On the first visit, I wasn’t acknowledged right away because the staff was talking and laughing together. It took about a minute, which wasn’t a big issue, and I don’t mind a friendly work environment. The second visit was different. I waited about five minutes with no acknowledgement. The staff was dancing and chatting, and the team member at the window leaned on the ledge with her back to me several times. She even glanced at my car more than once, but no one greeted me, asked me to wait, or offered any help. My order had been ready the entire time. I enjoy Panera’s food and want to keep coming back, but this level of service isn’t what I am use to.
