The best Italian restaurant I've found in Gainesville so far. We sat outside, they have two outdoor seating areas both of which we very nice. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread without gorgonzola (not sure why you'd ruin garlic bread with gorgonzola but to each their own), penne alla vodka and chicken parm. All of the dishes were amazing. Wasn't thrilled with the fettuccine alfredo that was a side to the chicken parm. Our server was friendly and attentive. Inside the restaurant smelled like a wet mop & chemicals. Will be back but will continue to sit outside. Can't wait to try their pizza.

Da Vinci and Pasta absolutely delivered on every level. From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting—cozy without being cramped, with that classic Italian restaurant vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal. Service was attentive and friendly without hovering, which made the experience even better. The garlic cheese bread was a standout starter—rich, buttery, and packed with flavor, not just an afterthought like it is at so many places. Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside. The chicken parmigiana Alfredo was phenomenal. The chicken was crispy and well-seasoned, holding up beautifully under the creamy Alfredo sauce instead of getting soggy. Every bite was indulgent and satisfying, and the portion size was generous. The stromboli calzone deserves special mention—it was massive. Easily shareable (or a guaranteed next-day leftover situation), stuffed generously, and cooked perfectly. You definitely get your money’s worth here. We ended with tiramisu, and it tasted genuinely authentic—light, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. A perfect finish to a very filling meal. Overall, Da Vinci and Pasta offers *delicious food, large portions, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommend for anyone in Gainesville craving solid, comforting Italian food done right. 🍝✨

We recently visited Da Vinci's on SW 34th Street (where Peach Valley used to be) and were blown away by this authentic Italian spot! The ambiance is cute, cozy, and has a lovely Italian vibe, making it perfect for a date night or a relaxed dinner. Don't skip the garlic cheese bread – you can actually taste the fresh garlic! My Chicken Parmesan was huge and delicious, with fresh, tasty sauce. We tried their mushroom soup, so fresh with carefully chosen ingredients. The arugula and Caprese salads were crispy and fresh, letting a mix of juicy flavors implode in your mouth. The pizza is next level! We tried the [Da Vinci and Seafood] and it was incredible, using imported '00' flour. Even the desserts, like the cannoli or berry crème brulee, were fresh and delightful The pasta is clearly homemade and so fresh. The Rigatoni alla Vodka was perfection, and the Truffle Cream Sauce pasta was divine. The Tiramisu is a mist try!

Don’t go. The actual pasta noodles were good, unfortunately tossed in nothing but oil and a ton of garlic with sun dried tomatoes that were too hard to eat. The underneath of the plate was covered in oil and so were my hands after I touched it to move it a bit closer to me. Zero care is given to the food being prepared here and it shows. Wine was good, unfortunately served in a glass that looked like it was set in cheese before using. When I pointed it out the waitress said she had been off all week and had just returned today. Ok, so that stopped you from noticing the dirty glass before using it? 😂 Service was sloooow. Although the waitress was kind and sweet, when the food was delivered and I was asked if I needed anything I had to ask for silverware 🙄 FAIL! The crowning moment was that they were out of bread. C’mon now you’re a pizza restaurant so you have the ability to bake up some sort of bread to serve with $20+pasta dishes unless you’re also out of pizza dough and I saw pizza being served so… Atmosphere? Perhaps if you speak Spanish and are there on your night off you will be well taken care of. Vibe is that everyone is unhappy and unworried about the customers experience. Just don’t go. Go to the chain Italian restaurants in the area if you want pasta. It will be better!

This was the absolute worst experience I’ve had from a restaurant in a while and I didn’t even eat in the building. To start off, I ordered online an hour and a half before (ordered just after 4pm for pickup scheduled for 5:30pm). I showed up right at 5:30pm and was not greeted until I grabbed the attention of the hostess. Once I did get a hold of her, I told her I was picking up a to go order and gave my name. She went back to the kitchen counter to get the food. First thing I noticed was my side salad (that I paid $9 for, because the $22 meal I did buy doesn’t come with a salad like at most Italian restaurants), was under the heat lamp. Once I finally received it, it was in fact warm. But the rest of the food was nowhere to be seen. I watch as the hostess told the kitchen staff what she needed. About 15 minutes later, she came up and told me that thy needed 3 more minutes for the last dish. At least she was honest because 3 minutes later the food was up on the counter. More about the food to come… I noticed that around the restaurant, people had bread brought to their tables and large portions. I thought to myself, “hey, even thought they didn’t decide to fire the food until I showed up, at least I should be getting a decent amount and it’s fresh, right?” Wrong. The food was packaged in the same small to go containers I get on Amazon to put my lunch in, about the same size as my hand. We had ordered linguine and meatballs as one meal and chicken Parmesan fettuccine as the second meal. I asked about getting bread to take home and if it was in the bag. The hostess said no, they don’t give bread for to go orders. So currently the food is 18 minutes late after having 80 min notice to make it, the salad was under the heat lamp, the portions are tiny and crappy, and they refused to give me the FREE BREAD THAT THEY GIVE TO EVERY TABLE. Whatever… at this point I’m thinking, “I’m sure at this nice place with these nice reviews, the food will still taste good right?” Wrong. The “chicken Parmesan fettuccine” was served over a bed of fettuccine Alfredo, which is not at all what is described on their menu where it states that it is served with a pomodoro sauce. Even still I ate the fettuccine because I needed to eat dinner, right? The fettuccine Alfredo tasted EXACTLY like Rice-a-Roni boxed fettuccine Alfredo. Zero difference. I make it for my kids. I’m familiar. The meatballs from the other meal were in no way fresh and tasted like frozen bagged meatballs from your local supermarket. I didn’t bother trying to eat the salad because it was a now hot Caesar and that’s gross and borderline unsafe. Call me spoiled or entitled or a Karen or whatever you like. If I could give this place zero stars I would. It was the most incredibly disappointing experience I could have asked for. I try to patronize local places, but I’m 100% positive I will never be back to this place again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid it. Sorry. Usually I give you a second shot, but even if the service gets better, it doesn’t seem like the food is worth it. 0/5 stars, Two enthusiastic thumbs down in all categories of service, quality, and whatever else you wanna ask about. Go to Olive Garden. Or maybe Burger King. Their mozzarella sticks are probably better.
