Inspired by its Miami roots and a recipe for fresh 24-hour citrus marinated chicken, Pollo Tropical began offering guests across Florida a creative take on traditional Cuban dishes, as well as foods from other parts of Latin America, over 35 years ago.
Since then, Pollo Tropical has been dedicated to preparing fresh, great tasting foods in their kitchens every day – like their signature Grilled Chicken and Mojo Roast Pork, served with the fan-favorite black beans and rice, in platters and TropiChop bowls.
At Pollo Tropical, authentic preparation, fresh ingredients, and a creative twist on traditional flavors is the perfect recipe for delicious craveable food. Come taste the passion!
Customers generally praised the food for being delicious and flavorful, though there were complaints about inconsistent portion sizes and occasional issues with food freshness.

I came to eat here and my husband and I had a great meal. It was delicious and the location was clean. I then left my purse at this location by accident. Oops! I called back 2 hours later and they saved my purse. I came to pick it up the day later and they had it saved for me in the back and everything inside was untouched. Thank you pollo and to the manager Juan Carlos for keeping my purse safe and for the great meal! So grateful.

This place is terrible . Here is why . Apparently the owner has instructed his employees to cheat the customers . There is virtually no chicken on the meals so if you order a large it comes with the same amount of chicken as a small . I went two days ago and they had ran out of chicken . That’s like burger king running out t of burgers . Manager told me he was instructed to do things this way and he can’t do them any other way . Don’t come here .

I’ve ordered from pollo tropical several times through uber eat. I hate writing any bad reviews so I usually don’t but when the same problem persist, something has to be done. I don’t know if it just pure laziness or forgetfulness, and like I said it’s has happened at least a 1/2 dozen times. They always forgot something and it’s usually my drink or my dessert and it’s ALWAYS EVERY SINGLE TIME they forget the condiments. With a little more attention to detail ( like read the ticket. The whole thing ) you will probably get it right. But I have never , not once gotten everything I was supposed to get when I ordered my food. Maybe lts
Just too much to do. Consider a change
Immediately because I know I’m not the only one that this happens to regularly I’m sure there are plenty of other people patrons that have incomplete orders. Eventually, you’re gonna get a bad rap if you don’t already have one.

I have the same order every time. Regular tropichop with mojo pork and I do a double order. There is no consistency with the portions of pork, ever! Today between the amount in the bowl and side container there was maybe what a normal portion would usually be. It’s not that hard to measure out the portions for consistency. I feel completely ripped off and this wasn’t the first time, but will be the last!

Very disappointing and disrespectful experience at this location.
I placed an online order directly through Pollo Tropical’s website and went to pick it up yesterday. I had already been waiting about 20 minutes when I politely asked about the status of my order. I was then told I would need to wait an additional 20 minutes. When I asked why, I was told there was no chicken available, and that is when Miriam responded with, “What do you want me to do?” Her tone, along with eye-rolling, was dismissive and unprofessional.
It is important to note that the issue was not limited to just one person. While Miriam made the comment, the cashier and the kitchen staff also displayed an attitude. The overall environment felt tense and defensive, as if my simple question about my order was taken personally.
At the same time, chicken orders continued to be served to other customers, which made the situation feel unfair and disrespectful.
I later confirmed that staff had assumed my order was a DoorDash order. When my food was finally handed to me, I was asked to confirm the order, at which point I clarified that it was a personal order placed directly through their website. Only then did the tone change and an attempt to apologize was made — but by that point, the damage was already done.
Regardless of how an order is placed — online, in person, or through a third-party service — all customers deserve respectful treatment. Assumptions should never lead to rude or dismissive behavior.
I felt rejected, uncomfortable, and disrespected for simply asking about my order. I had traveled that day, had not eaten, and had not slept, which made the experience feel even more upsetting. I moved to Oregon, and every time I travel back to Florida, I usually look forward to eating at Pollo Tropical. Unfortunately, this location felt careless, unprofessional, and completely unethical.
Delays happen. Disrespect should not.
