What made this particularly disappointing is that we attended the same event just a week prior at the Carrabba’s in Cape Coral—and the difference was night and day. The service at this location was extremely slow, and the staff appeared overwhelmed from the moment we arrived. Plates and glasses sat uncleared, timing was off, and communication was minimal. For a structured event, it felt disorganized and understaffed. The moment that stood out the most—unfortunately for the wrong reason—was when we simply asked one of the two staff members standing nearby, “Hey, can we pay?” She walked over and responded, “There are a lot of people here. You’ll know when you’ve paid when you get your red book.” That level of dismissiveness was surprising. Obviously, we knew we hadn’t paid yet—that’s why we asked. The comment came across as unprofessional and unnecessary. Overall, it just didn’t feel like the quality or hospitality Carrabba’s is known for, especially considering how exceptional the Cape Coral location handled the same event the week before. I highly recommend this location take a page from their Cape Coral team—because they truly know how to deliver a smooth, enjoyable, and well-organized dining experience.
