I loved my Lake Shore Drive Chicago Deep Dish Pizza made by Ms. Mary. It was also an absolute pleasure being served by Kendra. This was a delicious and fun experience that restored my faith in pizza in the southwest Florida area!

At first I thought, this pizza better be good for the price, it’s pricey.
It’s heavy, taste great.
Dough was right, topping were enough, cheese and sauce were great.
Really good, but expensive $40 pizza.
Service could be better for that price.

Great pizza, maybe the best in town. Lots of crust options so you don’t have to do deep dish if you’re not into it. Been there 3 times now and it seems better every time.

I was on my own tonight, craving Chicago style deep dish, and found this place. It’s a little ambiance-challenged but clean and slightly Chicago-like. They have four styles of pizza and I asked about their Chicago deep dish because a lot of people think Chicago style has a thick crust like Detroit style. I was a little nervous because the server insisted that it had a thick crust. I told her that as someone who lived in Chicago for many years, I can assure you that Chicago style does not have a thick crust — it’s deep but not thick. She said, no it’s thick. I said, then it’s not Chicago style. She insisted it was Chicago style so I gave it a whirl. While I waited, I ordered some garlic bread. A little disappointing because it was kinda flavorless, certainly no discernible garlic. So I tried dunking it in the sauce. Hmm… This place has potential! If the pizza has this sauce and doesn’t have a thick bready crust, it might be pretty good. I’m happy to report that it was a good Chicago style pizza. The sauce wasn’t very chunky (which actually I prefer but might rub some purists the wrong way) but very flavorful. The crust was a proper Chicago crust and crispy with a subtle yeastiness. I don’t think the wife would care for the generic atmosphere and it’s a little far from my home for takeout but I thought it was quite good pizza.
