Went here for a special dinner occasion after seeing reviews as a first time guest. Had the opportunity to meet Chef Ashley, and every member of the team that we had the chance to interact with from host to waiter, everyone was absolutely incredible. Their attention to detail and hospitality was very welcoming and inviting. The Jerk Grouper was moist and flaky with an amazing citrus flavor and the steak and Mac and cheese were cooked perfectly. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting an amazing experience in the Fort Lauderdale area.

I would have to say this had to be the worst service I ever encountered in my 46 years. I came for my birthday and left very disappointed. We placed our order with Sterling and he got lost for about an hr. The seafood tower took about 45 mins to come and the bacon and sushi rolls got lost. The whole table got water and a refill didn’t come until way over a hr. I called the manager over to tell him my dissatisfaction and he stated he was going to course correct it. Don’t worry he found the missing appetizers after the main course was being put on the table. To add insult to injury, as the staff member was taking steaks onto the table he dropped a 23 oz ribeye. If I had to be honest I thought we were on a new television show called” Worst restaurant experience.” It was my birthday so there was no charge for dessert. They didn’t charge for the two appetizers that got lost or a couple drinks but they should have done more. I wasn’t looking for a free meal but just to be treated right because it was my birthday. The food was good but I am sure there are other restaurants to go to in Florida that will appreciate the customers coming in. They weren’t that busy on top of it!

We went here for Valentine’s Day dinner and even though we arrived super early, we were seated right away. They took such great care of us from the start. Everyone was absolutely spectacular. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were perfect, and sitting out by the water made the whole night feel so romantic and beautiful. The service was incredible, and honestly the night just flew by because I was so relaxed and enjoying every moment. Such a lovely, memorable experience—we can’t wait to come back thank you Stephane!!

I have to say the truth the staff and that this people that’s running this restaurant being managed by shouldn’t be even managing it I made 2 month reservations they did not inform me canceled my reservation cause I made two separate reservations under two different names with my credit card was having New Year’s Eve dinner and they ended up calling my moms phone and not my phone and I called them to resolve the issue and they basically told me and my family is banded from mastros but the steak isn’t that good or the seafood it’s just good for the drinks and butter cake the one in New York and Malibu is 100 times better but then but this isn’t the first time mastros in Fort Lauderdale has done this we have multiple friends and family they’ve done this to canceling reservations without a email confirmation and then the manager told me it’s fraud because I made two reservations with two different names with the same card but there was money on the card so not sure how was it fraud so yea my reservation and my New Year’s Eve got canceled du to mastros in Fort Lauderdale and there management they have

First I’ll start by saying Mastro’s is usually a great choice but for some reason this was the worst visit I’ve ever had at ANY location. We had a Valentines Day reservation for 7:45. We were promptly seated in a back area on the boat dock area which was very dark and secluded. (In a previous visit this area was a closed in cigar lounge type set up) Which almost seemed nice until we couldn’t see the menu or the food on our plates and it became quite breezy. I asked the waiter for more light and possibly a heat lamp so that us along with other customers could see. He never followed up. Any how we ordered drinks and appetizers. The Lobster bisque was cold and was as stiff as a custard. We swapped it for a salad. After we finished the salad we waited and waited … At this point we were here for 2 hours without a main course. People who came in at the same time as us are getting their checks. I asked the waiter about the food and he says it’s coming next. The waiter was not very visible or helpful throughout the night. He often forgot request and never did follow ups. Food comes out 10 mins later. Yes I was watching the clock. We ordered the 40oz Tomahawk ($275), creamed spinach and the 1lb baked potato. ALL of the food was lukewarm, the potato was pretty stiff it was difficult to add butter which didn’t even melt. The “hot plates” that accompany the steak were not hot. I asked for some salt and an empty salt grinder was brought to me. Which I never got replaced because it was another 10 minutes before he came back. I really had intentions of ordering dessert but sitting in a restaurant all night on a Saturday was not at the top of my list. At that point I asked for the check and left. I did complain and our drinks were removed from the check, however no management or anyone came to the table with any concern. I don’t care if the restaurant is full at this price point I expect the absolute best service at all times. This was so disappointing especially on Valentine’s Day. $400+ on a meal for 2 and $40 valet. My waiters name was Alex.
Side note: not sure if it was intentional but I noticed only brown people were seated in this same area as we were. It was kind of weird because it was not the best seating and it felt slightly neglected.(poor lighting, no heat lamps, service was poor, very low music.) The view was pretty nice. The rest of the restaurant had comfortable temperatures and quaintly lit for a nice romantic ambiance. I’ve been to this location at least 10-12 times or more with friends and dinner nights with my husband and this experience makes me not want to ever return. (We live in walking distance) The photo shows you how dark it was in the area, one photo was with my camera flash and the other was with no flash.
