What a lovely dining experience! My sister and I haven’t seen each other in a year and only had one dinner to share this trip. We needed great food and atmosphere which is what we got. The chicken Marsala is heaven! And the perfect combination of professionalism and personality from our server, Marcos, made it next level! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had such a great experience! The food was delicious and everything came out perfectly. Our waitress, Sophia, was amazing—so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. The service really stood out and made the meal even better. We’ll definitely be back!

We knew the original owners-Of course we knew Eddy Ramos the manager.

Il Mulino in Fort Lauderdale is absolutely outstanding. The food is always delicious and clearly made fresh daily—you can taste the quality in every dish. The owners, managers, and waitstaff are consistently warm, respectful, and a pleasure to be around. Their hospitality truly sets this restaurant apart. We’ve dined here with parties of over ten people and return every year for Christmas, and we have never once been disappointed. Any time someone has had a question about a dish, needed a substitution, or had an issue with a plate, the staff has always been more than willing to accommodate and make it right without hesitation. Il Mulino is reliable, welcoming, and delivers an exceptional dining experience every single time. Highly recommend!

I’ve been frequenting Il Mulino ever since I was a child (1999). It was once a staple in Fort Lauderdale and, in my opinion, home to the best calamari in town. Unfortunately, since the restaurant changed hands after the father passed, the quality has declined significantly. The calamari, once tender and full of flavor, is now stringy and lacks the signature taste that made it so memorable. Over the past few years, there has also been significant staff turnover, and the service now feels dry and impersonal. The warm, family run atmosphere that once defined the restaurant is no longer there. Many longtime employees who worked there for years (four to seven years) are now gone, and the new staff does not recognize longtime clientele. Honorable mentions to Frederic, Carlos, Alberto, Crystal, and Misma, who helped make Il Mulino what it once was. Sadly, I can no longer confidently recommend dining at Il Mulino to friends and family, as the dishes have become consistently mediocre, with higher prices that no longer justify the quality. If you are looking for excellent Italian food paired with a great dining experience, and calamari reminiscent of how it was back in the day, I would suggest Cafe Vico instead.
