My family and I wanted to have a late lunch. We were a party of six, plus two babies in strollers. We eat out often and have never had an issue finding a table that can accommodate all of us. For some odd reason, the hostess was extremely flustered with our strollers and kept repeatedly asking if there were babies in the strollers. We told her yes, and watched her try to figure out where to seat us. In the process she walked by my 5 year old son, who was not doing anything other than standing and waiting like the rest of us, and she ordered him multiple times, “stay, you stay!” He was not moving and she really had no reason to be short with him or annoyed in any way. Rather than continue to wait around for her to figure out how to do her job, we decided to leave. I have never had to leave any restaurant because of a rude hostess, but there’s a first time for everything.
