I’m not sure what the qualifications are for working in customer service anymore but I will never visit this location again let alone patron this company again on a whole. I placed an online order at 11:10 AM and when I went to pickup my order, the woman at the register asked me if I was placing a new order or if I was there to pickup. I advised I was there to pickup my order and she rudely motioned toward the pickup stand and turned around and went back to talking with the other workers. I retrieved my order and left. Halfway home, my daughter checked the bag and half of our order was missing. I turned around and drove all the way back to the location. When I let the cashier know that my order was incorrect, she started pulling items out of the bag and opening the wrappers. She proceeded to state, “So you didn’t order this nova lox sandwich?” I looked at her and calmly advised “yes, but there are items missing from the order.” She looked at the receipt and then back at me and said “Okay so the order isn’t incorrect, you’re just missing something.” I said “Mam, the order is incorrect if there are missing items.”
The “baker” then came over highly aggressive and said “What happened?! What happened?!” as if he wanted to fight me, the customer. The woman then had to back him up trying to calm him down, mumbling to him, “You didn’t mess nothing up. You just forgot the sandwich. So just make that.” He snarled, then started making the other customer’s food and mumbling under his breath. The woman came to me and apologized and I calmly told her “it’s okay.”
After about 5-10 minutes the whole staff disappeared behind the wall and stayed back there for about 3-5 minutes. They returned to the front and continued in chaos trying to assist the other customers. I waited what felt about another 30 minutes and then told the cashier, I no longer wanted the order and would like a refund. She told me “We don’t give refunds here and you ordered online so you need to get your refund online.” I paused, said okay and went to leave. She offered that I keep the food that was already made and still seek a refund but I told her I no longer wanted it. She then said “it’s already made.” and then the “Baker” said “It’s almost finished anyway.” I said “no thank you” turned and left.
At least twice, I felt as if the “Baker” was inappropriate and the cashier had to calm him down. I’m not sure if he wanted to fight me because my order was incorrect but I have never been made to feel like that in any establishment I’ve been in.
I had to drive to another location just to get my daughter breakfast. Highly inconvenient. I didn’t return home until 1:00 PM.
I went to the app seeking a refund and of course, there is no way to request one. I will be contacting my issuing bank.
