Beware!Stay away! 3 items were missing from my order. Didn't realize until I got home. Had to go back. I called first and they argued over phone that Kirbys were in the bag. They did give me missing items. Food is inedible. Chicken extra dry. Kirby were very bitter. Baklava was stale. I rarely give reviews. But people need to know your money is better spent somewhere else.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly terrible. The service was extremely slow and inattentive — we waited forever just to be acknowledged, and even longer for our food. When it finally arrived, I was shocked to find mold on my food.
I brought it to the staff’s attention, and instead of apologizing or taking it seriously, they seemed dismissive and uninterested. No urgency, no accountability, nothing. That’s completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety.
Overall, the environment felt careless, the service was poor, and the quality control was clearly lacking. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I was recommended to come to this place, and honestly, they weren't wrong—it was the best shawarma experience: delicious and very fresh.

In my case I ordered a mixed wrap (chicken and beef).
Why I gave 1 stars on food: Let’s start off with the pita. Before I even got to taste the meat or seasoning, i noticed the pita was a bit stale. It was kind of dry and flaky very much like layers of thin cardboard. Then came the true test; the meat. Unfortunately, an even bigger disappointment. Shawarma is meant to be thinly sliced, marinated meats slow-cooked on a vertical rotisserie spear. When an order is placed, the outer layer of the meat is shaved off so there isn’t really supposed to be any on-the-spot cooking or much chewing to be expected because the meat is so thin and cooked so long that it literally should melt in your mouth. The meat was none of that. There were GINORMOUS pieces of fatty chicken and chewy, stringy beef that resembled and old, crocheted poncho with more holes than yarn rather than the thin silky layers it’s meant to be. The other wrap ingredients were standard and the seasoning was ok.
Why I gave 2 stars on service: The staff was pleasant and the wait wasn’t long but that would be based on standard orders where food is meant to be cooked on the spots. Since shawarma isn’t supposed to be cooked on the spot, the time from when I ordered to when I walked out should’ve been considerably shorter.
Why I gave 3 stars on atmosphere: Since the business name included “express” it implies it’s meant to be fast so I wasn’t expecting the atmosphere to want to keep you in there longer than needed but the music they were playing was a bit. Finally, unless you’re at a sports bar watching I game, I will never understand the need to have a TV in any food establishment.
I love supporting small local businesses so I struggled with this review because I recognize it’s very critical, but it is my honest opinion. I would certainly give it another try in 6-12 months to give them time to adjust their recipe and/or cooking process to align better with the dishes they are serving.

Visiting this place was a thoroughly disappointing experience. If you are looking for an authentic shawarma, I suggest you keep walking, as what they serve there completely lacks any essence. The meat was pre-sliced, dry, cold, and utterly unmarinated; wrapped in a pita bread that was far too thick and lacked even the slightest hint of crispiness. Instead of the necessary balance provided by pickles, which add acidity and texture, I was met with basic vegetables that contributed nothing. And all was drowned in an excess of sauces that, far from complementing the dish, merely served to mask the low quality of the ingredients.
However, the worst part wasn't the food, but the atmosphere. It is impossible to enjoy an Arabic dish while listening to Latin music played at an unbearable volume that completely undermines the place's culinary concept. Even though they are in South Florida, the ambient noise makes a peaceful meal impossible. The place seems destined to serve solely as a food delivery platform, because dining in at Shawarma Express is a low blow for any patron.
I think the best way to get it from this place is to order via Uber Eats and receive it 40 minutes after it's prepared. That transit time allows your expectations to be lowered just enough so that the impact of the poor execution isn't quite so severe, since you don't have to endure actually being inside the establishment. In short, if you want a good shawarma, this is not the place.
