  This was our first time at Chica's, but it won't be the last. We were there on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't think we'd wait too long for a table, but we waited about 5 minutes. First of all, the decor was nice, and the atmosphere was great. The parking situation was a little tight. Who knew it would be so crowded at 2:00 Saturday afternoon. I had to double park for a few minutes until a space opened up. This is the only negative thing I can say about Chica's. The food was great. We got the traditional Cuban sandwich and the Pan Con Bistec, which was described as "Grilled palomilla steak with onions and mojo marinade lettuce, tomatoes, and shoestring fries topped with pink sauces". It was excellent! We finished off our lunch with two Cafe Con Leches. I'm not usually a coffee drinker, but it was so delicious! Our server, Kira, was outstanding. She knew the menu, and could answer all our questions. Plus, she was attentive and friendly. Hopefully we'll get heras our server next time, although I'm pretty sure the entire staff is equally gifted.

  Really great Cuban food! I grew up in central Florida and lived in Miami for 5 years but moved to the Pacific Northwest a decade ago and it’s very difficult to find good Cuban food there. My husband and I happened to be in DeLand for a quick weekend for a family event and chose this place for dinner and were impressed. We thought the food was very authentic and delicious. Seki was our waitress and she was very attentive, had great customer service. Overall a good experience from all angles! Would recommend

  I had some visitors from Puerto Rico and took them to CHICA’s. Both daughter and senior aged mother, split the cuban sandwich plate, with rice and beans and plantains. The two of them just RAVED about this being the absolute “best Cuban sandwich,” they ever tasted, to include Puerto Rico! I have never ordered a sandwich in a restaurant. I’m just not a sandwich person. But they begged me to take one bite, and I could not believe how delicious, It was. The meat was plentiful and juicy. Even the bread was delicious. It was crispy on the outside and soft and warm tasting as if it were a pizza crust around the meat. I pray Chicas becomes legendary in Deland, because I finally found a sandwich I love!

  Great place for a date night, inside is cozy and well decorated and very romantic vibe. I've also been here for brunch and the outside seating is casual and comfy. The food is so good and the price is fantastic.

  Muy rico el sabor de la comida...la atencion es buena aunque faltan detalles como ponerte un vaso para bebidas (y que esten limpiios por favor), poner servilletas, sal y pimienta, el cafe lo traen a su gusto, osea, no esperes endulzarlo tu mismo🤭🤭y cositas asi...pero bien en general...solo un 4 por algunos detalles🥰🥰🙏
