Inspired by the great “beach joints” that once dotted the Atlantic coast, LandShark Bar & Grill is located in Daytona Beach, south of International Speedway Boulevard. In the center of beachfront action by day or night, it’s the perfect blend of ocean breezes, great food, generous drinks, and outstanding Beach Music. The menu is American beach food with a fresh coastal twist and, of course, cold draft LandShark and those fabulous frozen concoctions!

First, our server, Catherine (Cathy), was exceptional. Secondly, our food was very tasty and quite delish. Indoor, deck and beach seatings are available, plus there's a Tiki Bar plus an indoor bar area with large TV's for sport enthusiasts. Medium pricing.

OMG! How have I been missing THIS place? Right on the beach, umbrella tables, a large tiki bar and indoor dining opening onto the beach thru roll up garage doors. Try the Huli Huli Chicken. DEEE-lish!!

Meh, I wasn't terribly thrilled at all. The nachos were decent, my husband's 2 tacos with chips and salsa were okay. My chicken dish over rice with a slice of pineapple and yum yum sauce was okay. Service could have been better. Drinks were light. Personally wouldn't recommend, and wouldn't visit again. We were just passing thru, it's definitely not on the must came back list.

The music was very loud, and there was maybe four people at the outside bar area. The DJ, was not aware of the fact, that he was very distracting, cause i was trying to have a conversation with my friend, and i had to almost yell. I ask the DJ if he could turn his music down, and he said no, he would play as loud as you wanted to. I ask the DJ to turn his speakers some, and he refused to do that. The DJ had a bad attitude, and not nice. I like the music, just to loud, for a small space with no people.
The music is a definitely turn off from returning.

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the treatment my family and I received at your Daytona Beach location on Saturday, November 1st. What was meant to be a joyful family gathering turned into an upsetting and humiliating experience due to the conduct of your staff.
My son traveled from Orlando with his pregnant wife and my 82‑year‑old mother to meet us for lunch at your restaurant. He paid $30 for beach parking with the intention of enjoying the beach after our meal. My husband, grandson, and I drove from St. Augustine and parked in the restaurant’s lot. When we attempted to meet my son and assist my elderly mother up the stairs connecting the beach to the restaurant, we were aggressively blocked by a security guard named Bill.
Despite my repeated explanations that we were dining at LandShark and that I only needed to help my mother, the guard accused us of intending to misuse the parking lot. His tone was rude, dismissive, and intimidating—especially inappropriate in front of my young grandson. I was carrying only a purse, we were all fully dressed, and there was no indication that we planned to stay at the beach. Nevertheless, he escalated the situation, creating unnecessary conflict and distress.
When I sought assistance from the manager, I was met with indifference. Rather than listening with empathy or attempting to resolve the issue, the manager dismissed my concerns with a “I don’t care” attitude. This lack of professionalism compounded the disrespect we had already endured.
We fully understand the need to prevent beachgoers from misusing the restaurant’s parking lot. However, there are far more effective and respectful ways to enforce such policies. Treating paying customers as if they are dishonest, intimidating them in front of children, and disregarding their legitimate concerns is unacceptable.
As a result of this experience, we chose not to dine at LandShark and instead went to a neighboring restaurant, where we were treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, this incident has left us with no desire to return to your establishment.
I urge you to review your staff training and customer service policies. Security measures should never come at the expense of basic respect and hospitality. Families like mine should feel welcome, not harassed, when choosing to dine at your restaurant.
