I took my friend Jocelyn to Chart House tonight to celebrate her 34th birthday, and unfortunately the experience was really disappointing.
Our server, Brianna, was rude from the start and had zero tableside manners. She didn’t seem to know the menu, couldn’t answer basic questions about dishes, and even didn’t know the prices of items. It also took about 15 minutes just to get two glasses of wine, which set the tone for the rest of the evening.
The atmosphere didn’t help either. The music felt completely out of place for what’s supposed to be a higher-end dining experience — it was loud and more like something you’d fist pump to at a bar than enjoy during a nice birthday dinner.
The host also didn’t make a great first impression. She wasn’t necessarily rude, but she seemed very uninterested and just kind of “blah,” which didn’t feel very welcoming when arriving for a special occasion.
Overall, it was a really underwhelming experience, especially for a birthday celebration at a restaurant that’s supposed to be more upscale.
The server seemed sweet enough. The atmosphere is nice since there are floor to ceiling windows looking out at the water, the downside of this was that its also right next to apartments or condos (and the parking lot) so that kinda ruins the background for photos. No biggie, but worth mentioning. It's also kinda cramped so if you don't like tight spaces make sure your facing the windows (it helps). The food was good except the lava cake that had no lava, when we asked about it the server agreed saying "oh yeah it's more like a brownie with ice cream on top". If this is a common complaint it should have been mentioned since it was ordered at the very beginning of dinner. I understand up-selling for a better tip but that's ridiculous. It was still a good night and the food was really good. I do recommend steak over pasta if you go. The mushrooms were worth a shout-out as well.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between high-end elegance and a welcoming, warm ambiance.
The Food
The star of the show was, unsurprisingly, the Ribeye. Ordered medium-rare, it arrived with a perfect, salty crust and a melt-in-your-mouth interior that required very little effort from the steak knife. We also tried the truffle mac and cheese and the creamed spinach; both were rich, seasoned perfectly, and served in portions large enough to share.
The Service
Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, walking us through the different cuts and dry-aging processes without being pretentious. Drinks were never empty, and the pacing of the courses was flawless—we never felt rushed, yet we were never left waiting.
The Verdict
If you are looking for a place to celebrate a milestone or simply want the best steak in the city, this is it. It’s an investment, but for the quality of the ingredients and the level of service, it is worth every penny.

Dear Customer Service Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your restaurant on January 24th. I am a regular attendee of the Daytona 24 Hours, and for the past 7-8 years, I've made it a tradition to dine at your fine establishment. However, I have noticed a considerable decline in quality over the last couple of years, which has been quite disheartening.
During my most recent visit, Greg, our waiter, was absolutely incredible. He was very polite, highly knowledgeable about wines, and provided great hospitality. However, it seemed that the rest of the staff was not up to the same standard.
For instance, the forks and steak knives were dirty, which was quite off-putting. I ordered an Old Fashioned, but it was not shaken and was served with regular small ice cubes, which are not suitable for this type of drink. We ordered first a soup that was barely warmed, a steak to share, and when it arrived, half of it was cooked medium while the other half was rare. We had to send it back for further cooking. Additionally, our side order of mushrooms arrived after we received the steak that we had sent back, so we were unable to enjoy our meal all at once. On a positive note, the mini-lava cake was delicious.
I wanted to bring these issues to your attention in the hope that they can be addressed. I truly enjoy dining at your restaurant and would love to see the quality restored to its former glory.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter

Terrible. We took our family out to dinner and the experience was a shame. My son ordered a filet M-MW and it came out charred W. He sent it back and waited at least a 1/2 hr to get a new steak. By now we were finished so he had it to take home. He ended up just having bread and water and a small salad. The mgr gave him a 10% discount. We waited a long time for our food and the excuse was they had a lot of big parties. My sister has food allergies and cannot eat butter and ordered sizzling mushrooms w/o butter and we also ordered another order of sizzling mushrooms as they come. She was served the buttered and ate some when a while later the unbuttered were served. She was upset since the waitress made it very clear on the order about the allergy issue. I had the roasted chicken which came with mashed and asparagus. The chicken came with the back still firmly intact and no asparagus. Later they brought the asparagus which was only 2 pieces and they resembled tree trunks. 2 of the dinners came with chocolate lava cakes and we we told if anyone else wanted it they needed to order it when they placed their dinner order because it took a long time to make. It still took a long time and we had them to go. Waited about 20 min after we finished our main course. Parking lot is a hot mess. No lights except for a few "accent lamps" along the way. Bad "dining" experience. Paid a lot to wait a lot.
