  All in all, I was very pleased with my experience at this Tropical Smoothie Cafe location. Great customer service, great atmosphere. It’s what you would usually find at a tropical smoothie café, very chill.

  After reading some of the reviews I need to make it clear that I base mine off my experience today. First, it’s a smoothie joint in a plaza. If you’re looking for 5 star dining, this ain’t the place for you. If you looking for good acai, smoothies and stuff, definitely check them out. We arrived and there were 2 employees. One handling orders that were to go and coming in for pick up and the other young lady behind the register. We asked questions, she gave answers and they were both extremely polite and helpful. Real positive feeling from the staff. The joint was clean. I watched them work and clean up after themselves making sure to handle all food properly and to make it easier for them to clean up as they went. I ordered an açai bowl with little granola and some banana it was really good. And I ordered a peanut butter protein bowl thing. To be honest I can’t remember the name but I remember the taste. It was extremely good. Greek yogurt, peanut butter, bananas, granola, chai and all freshly made. The service is quick, the employees are great, the bowls were delicious. Truthfully, I couldn’t ask for more.

  While the food is good, the service is incredibly lacking. For example, once when i ordered a delivery of two wraps and a flatbread, only the two wraps arrived, and without the special request that we placed (no tomato). When I called them, I was told 'I'll make a new one for you' but it never came. I had to dispute that part of the charge with my bank to get it resolved. Now, I tried to place an order on thier app 20 minutes ago, with the earliest delivery time not until tomorrow.....with 75 minutes left before closing....what? I much prefer the Cagan Crossings location, but the app will only let me order from this specific one.

  It was my first time in this location . Usually I love tropical cafe, but this location was a desaster. The attendant was preparing an avacolada in front of me. She put a completely black avocado in the mixer. When I saw it I told her to throw that away and put a fresh one in. She did with no gusto , and yet the avocado was a little better but not as fresh as it should. I also ordered a chicken bacon ranch flat bread one for me and one for my wife that was waiting in the car as we were just passing by Davenport in our way to Melbourne. My wife and I had the same experience with the flat breads. Tasteless and the chicken looked uncooked. The avacolada my wife got had a terrible taste like the vegetables in it were old. She drunk only a little and left the rest. I took a zip and confirmed what she told me. It was horrible, after a few minutes we started to experience stomach ache. At this point we were to far on the road to come back to complain. I go often to Tropical cafe close to my house in Odessa. This Davenport location was a desaster. Nothing healthy there . Old and rotten food.
