Literally the best Cuban food around - you can’t get better than this place. The rice and beans pair so perfectly together. The chicken is tender and falls apart. It’s packed with amazing flavours. The best part? it’s only $13 for that dish!! Superb deal. The shrimp were cooked perfectly with great seasoning. This is my 2nd time I’ve been here a year apart and the food was just as good as the first time I had it a year ago which is rare. They are consistently delicious with great service. Can’t wait to go back next year. Try it !!

Disappointed.... Found a hair on my rice, called the manager he offered to change it. I told him I will take it home then. Check arrived and they charged me anyway. So, at this point it's rigth to find weird things on the food and pay rigth? Return the food to go. He said but we give you a free flan??? Who cares about the flan you do not charge when this problems occur.

We had such a wonderful experience at Padrino’s in Dania Beach, Florida. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was delicious, and everything felt well taken care of from start to finish. Our server, Juliette, was absolutely amazing — attentive, friendly, and genuinely made our visit even better. She was on top of everything without ever being intrusive, and her excellent service truly stood out. It’s rare to have someone be so kind, efficient, and thoughtful all at once. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend asking for Juliette if you visit!

Located in Dania Pointe just off 95 and Stirling, this location of the chain is spot on. Haven’t been to this location before and been a long while since I have been to one, but that won’t happen again. This store is very modern, open, and bright. Hostess was friendly and sat us right away. Our waitress was a hoot in a way that was great for us (I wish I remembered her name, shout out from the mamajuana ladies). We got a lunch special ropa vieja which was a decent size for lunch. The meat was good but the sauce was a little thin (tomato sauce like) for us. We also got a masas de puerco which was good (the onions were perfect), a little leaner normal if you want to be bad but not too bad. They carry a rum type called mamajuana that my lunch companion had told me about almost a year ago but we hadn’t seen anywhere. They serve it in an old fashioned but we got a shot to try straight. While rum is not my first or even second choice of spirit, the mamajuana is my first choice of rum! I will definitely be back to try it in the old fashioned. Another highlight, our waitress introduced me to a light sugar colada (grew up in the 305 and never been offered that, probably sacrilege lol) and for me it was perfect!!

Let me start by saying that I am Cuban and have eaten Cuban food my entire life. At some of the usuals such as La Carreta and Sergio's, Havana Harry, Versailles, and at home obvi and so forth. It has been difficult to find a great Cuban restaurant in Broward, Coral Springs area so I drove almost an hour to their Dania Beach location for some authentic Cuban food (or so I thought). Let me start by saying that the waitress did not know how to explain to me their Cuban sandwich. My question was, is it a media noche? She looked like a deer caught in headlights. She didn't even know what that was and then could not answer my simple question. I gave up my inquiries and said fine, so I ordered mariquitas, palomilla steak meal and called it a day. I figured I can't go wrong with that basic choice. The mariquitas were fine, not warm, not great just fine. It said on the menu they came with bean salsa and they didn't. At this point I am already annoyed and thirsty because the waitress still hasn't even brought us water and we are finishing the dish of mariquitas, so I don't ask about the bean salsa. Then, we finished eating our mariquitas and still had no water, so I had to ask the hostess to go get us water. Finally, the food comes out. The steak was really good, however the rice, plantains and beans were so mediocre and disappointing. When I tell you that Pollo Tropical makes better beans, rice and plantains I am not kidding. It had absolutely no flavor. Not great at all. Finally, I ask for the check and a flan to go because I am ready to just get out of there. Guess what? They charged me for the freaken' beans and salsa salad. I don't even care at this point (it was just a $1 more but it was about the messiness of the waitress and restaurant at this point) and I leave. I don't know if it's the because this is an area where there aren't a lot of Cubans and so they're getting away with all this crappy food or what. Was it a fluke that I had crappy service and food this one day? It was extremely disappointing. Next time, I will just find a La Carreta or Sergio's or drive to Miami where they are better and half the price.
