Just for fun I decided to compare what Wendy's shows on their website what it's supposed to look like versus what you get. Pretty much needless to say, there ain't much in the way of similarity. Granted, I "deconstructed" it see exactly what was on there. First, the "croissant" is nothing but a couple of pieces of bread. Second, the croissant they show is much higher (as bread should be) than what you get; the actual croissant looks like it was smashed in a George Foreman grill. Third, the egg in the ad picture is nicely shaped, with the yolk clearly visible around the entire fried egg. In actuality the yolk is small, misshapen and clearly off to one side. There's no way you are getting a bit of yolk in every bite. I did this for pure fun. It's a sad commentary on fast-food restaurants that what you get looks nothing like what is advertised. And Wendy's isn't the only chain guilty of this misleading advertising (although I cannot say the same for McD as I NEVER go to a McD, and have not for years now). No wonder Wendy's has coupons for these - apparently they cannot sell them at regular price.
