The Waiter was very attentive and the food was good. However the gentleman (Andrew Spinner) who seated my 87 year old mother was extremely rude. My mother uses a walker and we did not want to sit at the high-top table Mr. Spinner led us to. When we requested a lower table, he told us that we were taking too long to sit down. He argued with my sister when she pointed out that our mom needed a lower table and was using a walker. Mr. Spinner needs to find another occupation that does not involve customer service.

1 star. My family and two other families had one of the worst experiences we have ever had at Pier 62 Restaurant and Bar in Cocoa Beach. From the moment we stepped onto the pier, the experience was hostile. I was told to empty my full metal water bottle even though it had just been filled with ice water. Once inside the restaurant, the attitude from management immediately became rude and dismissive. We were a group of 24 across three families, and we were not demanding to all sit at one table. We were simply asking not to be split up into tiny groups scattered all over the restaurant. When we asked whether we could sit closer together, the managers refused to accommodate us and spoke to us with open disrespect. We were flat-out told that no tables would be moved, and at one point we were told, “there is the door.” At that point, we decided to leave on our own. We were not causing a scene, not refusing to leave, and not being aggressive. Even after we had already chosen to leave, security followed us extremely closely in a way that felt threatening and completely unnecessary. The most disturbing part of this experience was what happened to my mother, who is a mother of four. While we were already outside and she briefly stopped to look at the ocean, a security guard put his hands on her and violently grabbed her arm. There was no excuse for that. She was not attacking anyone, she was not resisting, and she was not creating any danger. Watching security physically grab her was shocking, unacceptable, and honestly frightening. After that, even more security was called and we were followed until we were completely off the property, even though we had already left on our own. We were treated like criminals for simply trying to eat as a family and then choosing to leave after being treated horribly. This was not just bad service. This was rude management, unnecessary escalation, intimidation, and physical aggression toward a woman who posed no threat. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

A friend and I were in town for the Artemis II launch and visited the Cocoa Beach Pier. The weather was wonderful, and after enjoying some sea air, we were ready for dinner. We checked in at Pier 62, a fun restaurant right on the pier above the water. To get a faster seating time, we opted for an available high-top table. But the chair had arms, and I’m…plump and couldn’t get comfortable. This is not a fault of the restaurant. The hostess, Laylani, was an absolute rockstar, and after a brief wait, we were able to be re-seated at a regular table. Our server, Cecelia (I hope both names are spelled correctly), was wonderful as well, and after welcoming us, she was sure to inquire if we had any food allergies! I had trouble deciding between two sandwich and side options, but her recommendations were spot on, and I enjoyed the Santa Fe Chicken sandwich with fries while my friend had the Mediterranean bowl. Everything was delicious, but the fries were the highlight for me. Crispy and seasoned on the outside and fluffy on the inside. If I had to offer a negative, it was a little loud, but the place was full, so that’s understandable, just something to be aware of if you’re looking for a quiet place to dine on a busy night.

Food was good. Service was good atmosphere was great. Will definitely return. The view is spectacular. Nothing but ocean. I didn’t eat anything but a side of coleslaw because I just had dessert so I was not hungry. Kids meals are not posted that I saw of. 10 and under. We did order kids meals for our kids under 10. Everyone left happy. The pier is beautiful as well. The tiki place was closed so I would’ve liked to check that out. Not sure if it’s affiliated with the pier 62. First time on the this side of Florida. Did not disappoint at all.

Today my son was denied access to this establishment over a bag of chips. We explained that our son was non-verbal autistic and could only eat certain foods. We take his foods with us everywhere we go so he can eat dinner with us at the same time. The bag was new and unopened. We were stopped by a security guy named Mike who was very rude and disrespectful and told us if we wanted to eat there, we could order to go and sit outside somewhere but we weren’t allowed to come in the establishment and get a table to eat. Even after explaining our situation he continued to be rude and not only that but in front of our kid like it’s his fault he is autistic or something. When we asked to speak to a manager he advised us the GM was out of town and he made the decisions anyways. I advised them that is discrimination against Americans with Disabilities and our money was no good there and we would make sure to spread the word on how our family was treated today. I finally saw a restaurant manager who also told us we weren’t allowed although he was much nicer about it than Mike the security guy was. I would understand if it was a full blown meal or even something they served but it wasn’t and he wouldn’t have been able to have anything on their menu. Thank you for being rude and disrespectful especially in front of my children. Our youngest even commented and said “they just don’t want my brother to eat lunch”, that’s sad. We will never be back to your establishment and I will be filing a formal complaint.
