Today my son was denied access to this establishment over a bag of chips. We explained that our son was non-verbal autistic and could only eat certain foods. We take his foods with us everywhere we go so he can eat dinner with us at the same time. The bag was new and unopened. We were stopped by a security guy named Mike who was very rude and disrespectful and told us if we wanted to eat there, we could order to go and sit outside somewhere but we weren’t allowed to come in the establishment and get a table to eat. Even after explaining our situation he continued to be rude and not only that but in front of our kid like it’s his fault he is autistic or something. When we asked to speak to a manager he advised us the GM was out of town and he made the decisions anyways. I advised them that is discrimination against Americans with Disabilities and our money was no good there and we would make sure to spread the word on how our family was treated today. I finally saw a restaurant manager who also told us we weren’t allowed although he was much nicer about it than Mike the security guy was. I would understand if it was a full blown meal or even something they served but it wasn’t and he wouldn’t have been able to have anything on their menu. Thank you for being rude and disrespectful especially in front of my children. Our youngest even commented and said “they just don’t want my brother to eat lunch”, that’s sad. We will never be back to your establishment and I will be filing a formal complaint.

I went to Pier 62 restaurant in April in the evening time dined outside. The scenery was beautiful. Love watching the families play on the beach. I would have given it a higher score but it was kind of cold. I would recommend dining inside until the weather is a little bit warmer. We got the roasted fish dip for the appetizer and that was absolutely sublime. My husband got the crab Patty sandwich. He loved it. He said it was the best he'd ever had. I got the beer battered shrimp and honestly it was just okay. I was expecting more. My sister-in-law got the tacos. She thought those were mostly good so I could only take a word for it. It is a popular spot so it is pretty busy. But that being said our server did the best she could with as many people as she had. But she was still kind of slow. So super friendly and ear to be helpful but she was kind of slow. I would recommend at least trying it. The scenery is definitely worth it. I'm walking down the pier to get to the restaurant and seeing all the different shops was also kind of neat.

We came to the restaurant with 6 adults and 3 small children all under the age of 18 months. The security guard expected us to throw away all of the children’s drinks and snacks in the strollers. I tried to put a small bag of snacks in the diaper bag and he said NO, now that I’ve seen them, they need to be thrown away. And all of the unopened bottles of water and baby food pouches would need to be thrown away. Needless to say, we all left and won’t ever be coming back. Ridiculous.

I gave 1 star because of one terrible event that happened here. I Have always loved it, and would have been 5 stars, up until yesterday. Went to pier 62 for lunch. Had a party of 5 but no available seats under the hut. Went to a table that had no shade from the sun. We opened the umbrella for shade. A waitress, name starts with a T who is of Hispanic ethnicity, comes at our table accompanied by SECURITY and actually scolded us for opening the umbrella. She barked at us "dont you see how windy it is out here? Why would you open the umbrella?". It was very rude, belittling as well as condescending. Then she precedes to lecture us about the umbrella before she walks off stating "I'm just telling you the restaurants policy so sorry if you feel like I'm being rude and taking it that way". There were numerous other patrons around and it was very embarrassing and we were humiliated! I spoke with the manager regarding my concerns and informed her that I would be contacting the cooperate office. Because of the fact that the waitress approached us with SECURITY, was blatantly RUDE and TALKED DOWN to us, I felt as if my family and I were being racially profiled, targeted and prejudge by this waitress. We were the ONLY blacks there and she bought unwanted and unnecessary attention to me and my family. We were all deeply disturbed! We did not stoop to her level but handled the situation with class. If the management has cameras they should view them. Incident happened 3/8/26 around 1pm. Ive frequent this place often and this is a first. Crazy thing is that I actually own a timeshare with Wesgate. Have had nothing but good experiences. Because of this one Incident, I don't think Ill be taking my family back here.

We visited Pier 62 at the Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier on a very windy afternoon. The end-of-pier tiki bar tavern was closed due to weather, but the main restaurant was open and the ocean views were excellent.
Unlike many Florida piers that are city-owned, this entire pier structure and restaurant are privately owned and operated by Westgate, which gives the experience a cohesive and well-maintained feel from the entrance all the way out over the water.
We came specifically for the Florida Gator Melt, a pier exclusive made with local gator tail. I added pepper jack and avocado, which balanced the spice well and made for a flavorful, well-constructed sandwich. We also tried the Killer Key Lime Pie, made in true Key West fashion with egg yolks, condensed milk, and Nellie & Joe’s Key Lime Juice in a graham cracker crust. Classic, tart, and authentic.
Our server, Galina, was not only attentive but genuinely witty. She had a quick sense of humor and felt like my twin in conversation. She shared that she is from Kazakhstan, which by land area is the ninth largest country in the world. That unexpected bit of geography added personality to the experience.
Between the ocean views, the historical anchor display on the pier, strong food, and lively service, it was a memorable stop in Cocoa Beach.
