  The best thing about this place is the coke in a bottle and the salsa. So if you want chips abd salsa enjoy. I don't recommend anything else.

  Service was poor, food vary salty. Added rice and beans. Barely 2oz of each and was charged $4.25 for each a total of $8.50 for two spoon full of rice and beans. Never going back.

  I was very happy with everything. We had the fajita for 2. The drinks were $5. I included a picture of the board with specials. I will return ❤💜🍹🌯🙏🥳

  First time here and it was a great experience. Enjoyed the service and food. It is a long drive for us, we have another one closer but if over this way we will definitely stop in.

  If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Clermont, this place is hands down one of the best we’ve found. Absolutely 5 STARS!! We stopped by San Jose’s Original Mexican Restaurant on Highway 27 in Clermont while out shopping with the family, and it’s officially become our go-to spot every time we’re in the area. From the moment we walked in, the experience was incredible! There’s plenty of parking, including handicap-accessible spots and ramps, which makes everything easy to bring kids and relatives along. The service is where they really shine. Our waitress Maria was absolutely fantastic. She was super friendly, attentive, and she made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. You can tell the staff here genuinely cares about the customers, and that alone makes a huge difference. They really seem like family here. Now let’s talk about the food… because wow. I ordered the taco salad, and it was packed with flavor. Their taco salad has fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, and that satisfying crunch you want from a good shell. My wife went with the tacos, and they were just as impressive. She always does the "surprise me" when they ask her for the hard-shell or soft-shell. They even did a custom order for my picky kiddo. This is the kind of place where you can taste that it’s not just “Mexican-style”… it’s authentic. And the Horchata? Easily one of the best I’ve had. Smooth, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweetness... its a really great drink and definitely worth ordering. I always ask to see if a Mexican restaurant can make it. San Jose's can! Another huge plus is their rewards system. We’ve been coming here regularly, and the points add up fast. It’s a great way to save a little money while still enjoying high-quality food, which is honestly rare these days. They have another location in Orlando... my family and I like to visit that location as well, but this one is a hidden gem. It does get a little busy at peak times, but the food still comes out super fast regardless of when you arrive. This place checks all the boxes: - Family-friendly atmosphere - Authentic Mexican food - Friendly, attentive service - Easy access and parking - Great value with rewards We’ve already recommended San Jose’s to friends and family, and we’ll keep doing it. If you’re anywhere near Clermont and craving great Mexican food, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it! 😁
