  I placed an order totaling approximately $50 through the Pizza Hut website after selecting the location nearest my home. I typically choose pickup, but due to having my 3-year-old child asleep at home, I opted for delivery so the food would arrive around the time he woke up. Unfortunately, my order was not delivered within the timeframe provided via Pizza Hut’s text messages, email updates, and online tracking. About five minutes after the expected delivery time passed, I contacted the store for an update. The employee who initially answered the phone transferred me to the manager, Zeek. He informed me that my order had been placed through DoorDash, which was incorrect, and stated that he was waiting on a driver. When I asked how the delay would be addressed or compensated, he told me that any resolution would have to come from DoorDash. However, when I contacted DoorDash, they advised that the store was responsible. During this interaction, Zeek disconnected the call abruptly. At no point was I rude or disrespectful; I was simply seeking clarity and a resolution. I found his behavior to be unprofessional and not reflective of appropriate management conduct. While I was disappointed with the overall experience and would not recommend this location due to the manager’s poor handling of the situation, I do want to acknowledge the young woman who initially answered the phone. She demonstrated courtesy and offered an apology—something the manager did not provide.
