The bun was completely smashed that it was almost as thin as paper. It was a complete mess. I went back to the drive-through and asked if this is how it’s supposed to be and she said yes, I can get a better hotdog at 7:11.

The server obviously couldn't hear me cause I asked for NO SALT cheese fries and not only did I get salty fries but NO cheese. I asked for an UNSWEETENED tea, no ice, and I got SWEET TEA with ice. She was paying more attention to the staff talking next to her than to us, the clients. I love this place but I think I won't be coming here any more. They need to improve their service. I know it's a busy place but if their servers keep messing up, people are gonna stop going there. This is not the first time the messed my order.

I liked the hotdogs, though next time I will not get them with the Chicago style toppings, to me, the toppings take away from the flavor of the hotdog. The fries were good and the peppermint flavored milkshake was excellent. The large size is actually large. I also liked the larger sized straw that come with the milkshake, which meant the small pieces of peppermint did not get stuck in the straw. I'll go back to try the beef sandwiches and for a different style hotdog.

Cucumbers are no longer available for the shrunken dogs. My husband grew up in Chicago and knows Portillo’s very well. He and his friends are disappointed with them. We don’t use them for catering anymore. Whenever we are in Chicago he wants to go to Bueno Beef instead. The restaurant was very busy and clean. No decline there.
