Ate here for dinner a few nights ago. A few hours later I began to show signs of food poisoning. Service was also bad. The cashier had an angry face like he didn't want to work or take our order.

I paid extra for white meat and they considered this white meat, no napkins, no sauces, no utensils. Just rushed out with no acknowledgment. Worst pollo experience ever

It’s a shame the service is so bad, because the food is pretty good
Every time I come to pollo tropical on providence rd/causeway I have to return because they forgot one of the items I ordered or utensils. I understand mistakes happen but when it’s a reoccurring issue, it makes me start to think it’s more laziness or rushing than anything
And they also have you wait obscene amount of time after you order many times
The owner of this establishment really needs to talk to his employees, or fire them because the service is worse than McDonald’s or Taco Bell

Avoid this Pollo Tropical location in Brandon, Florida, at all costs. Seriously, steer clear. My first experience with Pollo Tropical was at the Carrollwood location, and I was hooked. Unfortunately, the Brandon spot is the closest to me, and it’s consistently a disaster. This location is incredibly unorganized and unprofessional.
Every single visit has resulted in a messed-up order or abysmal customer service. They seem to tell you items are out of stock *before* even bothering to check. Tonight was no exception. I placed my order 25 minutes in advance, and when I arrived, it still wasn’t ready. I'd ordered a fully-loaded Chop Bowl, but they were missing ingredients. Instead of informing me upfront, they just…served it incomplete!
I asked about a refund, as I’d paid the full price for the "all the way" version. Thankfully, I checked my bag before leaving. When I inquired about a refund or some form of compensation to reflect the missing items, they simply offered more terrible customer service. They chose to shortchange my order instead of resolving the issue. This experience has sealed the deal – I'm done with this place.
And a word for the young man with the black curly hair at the front: learn some customer service skills! Staring at customers without a word of greeting isn't acceptable. This location needs a serious overhaul.

This is the longest I’ve ever waited for food at a pollo tropical. Also out of white rice, and out of a dessert. Will not return to location.
