  We stopped in on a weekend vacation in town. My family has lived in Bradenton for a long time and honestly never knew this place existed. I found on maps and we decided to try. We are glad we did as everything we had was very good. Service was excellent as well. Atmosphere overall doesn’t give Italian vibes but I don’t really care about that. We would definitely stop in again.

  We went NYE. We had a 7pm reservation but we were not served until 8:30pm and one of the orders had run out and had to be substituted. The dining room was very loud and open. The food was average and the prices were typical.

  Stopped for dinner and had a great margherita pizza. The mozzarella was fresh and delicious and not cut too thin. The atmosphere was also very pleasant with live jazz music and a very homey feeling. Waiter was also great and food came out promptly. Little hole in the wall spot but would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

  We come in to this cute little restaurant and are seated immediately. Each person we interacted with was great and very attentive, especially Charlene. We could hear the lovely live music coming from the other room. Our party ordered a large pizza and cacio e pepe. We added on an order of chicken and a side of broccoli but honestly we had far too much food! Everyone had leftovers, they were anxious to eat. The cacio e pepe is some of the best Alfredo I have eaten in years. We think there are real Nonnas in the kitchen!! You should definitely stop by and give Scarpino's a visit.

  We had a subpar experience at Scarpino’s, unfortunately. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and had a good ambiance, albeit a bit loud. While we didn’t have a reservation, we were still seated immediately. The waitress came over promptly and took our drink orders. Unfortunately, we didn’t have good service from there. While she wasn’t rude, she wasn’t pleasant either. She didn’t seem to know what gluten-free options were available, and had to go back and forth several times to check with the kitchen. After we finally ordered, minutes later, she came back out to let us know that what we ordered (pasta alla vodka) would not be possible as gluten-free. The worst part is, my wife was in the restroom when the waitress came to our table, and when I let her know this, she followed her into the restroom to talk to her instead of waiting for her to come back! Ridiculous! By now, we had been there for 25 minutes since being seated, so we decided to just stay for the meal. I had ordered a chicken Parmesan dish, and it was actually very good. However, like my wife’s dish, which was switched over to just regular red sauce, the red sauce was not good. It was watery and was way too much compared to the amount of pasta. In general, between the poor service and subpar food, we will not be back and wouldn’t recommend this place for Italian. There are many others in the area that are much better!
