  I am a regular of this place and love the food. I am sad to say what we experienced tonight. The service was terrible, it took forever to get our food, they denied service to two people in my group who are years above the drinking age, the bartender yelled at my friend, had to ask multiple different people for soy sauce and after 10 minutes finally got it which our food was cold by the time we got it. I asked to speak to the manager who ended up making all excuses for terrible service rather than taking accountability. She repeatedly told me tonight was a bad night instead of offering a solution or how she could make our experience better. Lastly, they started blasting music as if I was in the club, which is not what I want to listen to while eating my sushi. As someone who has been in the industry for a long time this was the worst experience I have ever had.

  My friends and I sat down for a quick late night drink and an app at the bar and the bartender scoffed at us after ignoring us for 15 minutes. Asked for our IDs with the most disgusting attitude, mind you we’re all 21. You should never talk to someone who sits down at your bar like that. Won’t be coming back.

  Do NOT go for happy hour. You will be served toddler sized portions. I’ve never seen sushi wrapped so small. Publix has bigger portions! Nice views sitting outside though & good customer service. Again, portions are a joke.

  We went for happy hour - service was a bit slow but all the food tasted so good. Will definitely be trying this place again.

  I really enjoy Kanpai and recommend it to everyone. I came here last night after a long day at work. My partner and I had a few rolls and the gyoza which were delicious. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was great. However, I woke up at 6 am this morning with food poisoning. I felt I had to write a review with this information for public awareness and for management to improve food safety. Since I was at work all day, I had not eaten anything else that could have caused food poisoning. Since I work in restaurant management, I’m writing this to let management know to emphasize proper food handling procedures and make sure employees are washing their hands/avoiding cross contamination. Will alter this review when I get word that this info has been received and implemented. Thank you!
