This place used to be great until new ownership. All the old school candy is gone. I once saw the new owner shut down the place after I left, then went to Circle K to buy beer and head back to Stuckeys.

Update: April 22nd issue escalated 4 times. Per today’s call, notes left by owner say they called me and left a voicemail. I have not received a call, missed a call, nor have I received a voicemail from anyone with Dairy Queen. This is and was never an issue about a free cone. It’s about the incompetence and lies from staff plus the horrible conditions of this “restaurant” which seems to only be open when it wants to be servicing food that is not from Dairy Queen. March 19 Free cone day! However, the older short lady, who said her name was Nancy, was still charging $1.00 per cone plus $1.00 to have it dipped. We didn’t have this issue last year here. After about a 5 minute debate pulling up and showing proof it’s free cone day and only $1.00 for it to be dipped she finally told the other girl in an angry, rude voice “just get her cones”. I asked for a contact for the regional manager and she told me she was the regional manager. I said you may be the manager but you’re most definitely not the regional manager. I said I’d like to get a phone number for who I can contact when someone has an issue here in store. She refused. The other girl went to hand me the cones. I asked for them to be dipped. She dipped them and handed them to us. I stood there waiting to pay and they never rang me up. Another parent with 2 girls came in and said they were there for free cone day. She tried to charge them too. After I told the parent she was charging he started telling her it’s free cone day. She told me I still owed her money. I said ring it up. She said it was cash donations for her kids. I said well I only have cards. The guy said I only have cards too. She said well it doesn’t matter I’m about to close the store anyway. I found that odd as their hours are until 8pm and it was 230. She said I close when I want. I called corporate from the parking lot who advised it was ok to leave. The corporate lady at customer relations was blown away at this whole interaction. She advised I could leave. Once back on the road and off the phone I got down to the cone. The cone itself was so stale. It didn’t have the normal DQ cone either….it was missing the DQ paper you pull off. I asked my daughter about her cone and she took it out of the napkin and it didn’t have the wrapper either. We pulled over and threw them out the window. They were not even DQ cones! They were old stale cones from the store. No wonder there were only 3-4 cars in the parking lot…probably workers only and people in the gas station. Last year it was PACKED! We didn’t have one issue last year. Waiting on my call back from corporate relations to handle this issue. Will update once I receive a call from the owner or regional manager. I see now why there are a lot of horrible reviews on this location lately!

Stopped by on Saturday, March 28th at 5:00 PM and the location was closed. Listing says open until 8 PM, but they seem to close whenever they want. This isn't the first occurrence. Unreliable hours.

Definitely closed, in the middle of business hours. Might wanna adjust your times online if you dont want people to actually come to your business.

Definitely needs some help. Drink machine was down and the poor workers that had only been working a few days had no manger on duty to help them out.
