Mike B is an exceptional server. He is friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, quick and a bit sarcastic in the best way possible (but also knows how to read the room as to whether he turns on the sarcasm). We always dine there for lunch as a group and Mike has always made our experience so much more fun. We always ask to sit in his section!

I had high expectations after viewing the menu and reviews. I was so excited to come to Tonic. Unfortunately, I left disapointed in the expirience. The cuts of meat were good quality however, the preparation was incredibly simple. It seemed salt and pepper didn't exist there, the sauces were basic choices and an up charge. While good it left alot to be desired. Their short ribs were tender fall off the bone juicy but again nothing spectacular. The service, made the expirience unfortunate. When the server didn't know an answer she brought the wine bottle out saying can you figure it out, because i can't. When asked for a lemon twist for espresso the server actually laughed and when she came back she stated that "oh, it apparently is a thing and it's just me who thinks its wierd". While the girl admitted she was new and was very very nice and served well. It did not help the expirience in anyway. The best part of the meal was the Creme brulee. The execution of this dish was incredible. A creamy melt in your mouth custard with the perfect amount of carmelized sugar. All in all I would return for the bar scene and snacks(HIGHLY reccomend the short rib eggrolls) but never dine in.

I'm actually pretty blown away by how consistently excellent the food is here. I'm pretty judgmental when it comes to restaurants and Tonic meets, or exceeds, my expectations every single time. And the service is always relaxed and friendly. Just a really great place, can't recommend enough. They must have some real talent back in that kitchen

Definitely a first class experience. Our service was exceptional, the food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. We went there before a show at the Playhouse because it was really close and the menu looked interesting. We were seated quickly and our drink order was in as soon as we sat down. I ordered the duck medium rare and my girlfriend ordered the 14 oz ribeye. The food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. We will most definitely be going back.
