Would give 0 stars if I could. My team and I order food from this ACME location every year for the holiday season for our staff. We ordered trays of subs & various desserts totaling $300+ from them a few days ago. The confirmation email that we received after placing the order did not notify us that we needed a code to pick up the food, it stated to bring ID for drive up orders. Upon arrival, we gave our name for the order and an associate told us that we needed a code. She told us the code was sent in the email when we placed the order. We had the email printed and there wasn’t a code on it. Fast forward, we asked for her manager and he came to speak with us. He said that there was no way that he can give us our food that we paid for without a code. We had ID, the card we paid with and the email for the same order and he gave us a stern “NO” when we asked if there was anything else that can be done to get the order if we don’t have a code. I asked to speak with his store director and he never called for him. We had to go back to the office, sign into our email and search through for this “code”. The code was never sent in the original email, it was sent in a second email after the time that we arrived to the store. We went back with the code and asked the manager of drive up what the procedure is if someone doesn’t have the code. Do they lose their product that was already paid for? He said no. He said if they don’t have it, he can either speak to the guest or it’ll be the store director’s call. He stated that only him and the store director are able to bypass the code. The store director was finally called after the incident actually occurred. Why weren’t these options presented to us when we asked over 10 times if there’s anything we can do to get the order without the code? A code that came via email after our first trip to the store? I’m disgusted.

*A Thrilling Shopping Experience at Acme* I recently had a heart-pumping experience at my local Acme store, and I just had to share it with you. As I was shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, I noticed a suspicious woman and a young girl circling around the produce section, seemingly without a purpose. My instincts kicked in, and I realized they might be targeting my purse, which was safely strapped to my cart. As they continued to circle around me, I kept a close eye on them, and my defenses went up. I was prepared to defend my purse and my Thanksgiving dinner at all costs. Luckily, they eventually gave up and moved on, but not before I had a run-in with another would-be thief. A heavy-set young woman tried to grab my purse, but I was one step ahead. I foiled her plan and gave her a stern warning. It was clear that she was not expecting me to be so... feisty. I explained to her that if she had achieved her goal and ran with my purse the entire cart would have unexpectedly went with it and the olive glass jars would have suddenly been repeated bombs at her feet. Glass shatters and cuts you know. Despite the drama, I must say that I'm impressed with the security measures I've taken to protect myself and my belongings. Strapping my purse to the cart was a genius move, if I do say so myself. As for Acme, I have to give them credit - their store is usually a safe haven, and I appreciate the efforts they make to keep their customers safe. However, I do think they could use a few more security measures to deter would-be thieves. Overall, I'd give Acme 5 stars out to of 5. The staff is always friendly, the produce is fresh, and the prices are reasonable. Just be aware of your surroundings, folks, and don't let anyone get the better of you! P.S. If anyone tries to steal from me again, I'll have my trusty can of cranberry jelly ready
