While I understand the purpose for them, they will sometimes come to a sudden halt as you approach the exit with no apparent reason. Usually, it’s an annoyance and I see other customers become frustrated. As someone who is heavily pregnant, having a heavy shopping cart come to a complete and sudden stop is dangerous. Especially because the cart handles are at a persons midsection. I reached out about my concerns and never heard back.
